am i the only one planning and paying formy own baby shower?
Nobody has offered to throw one so my husband and I decided to just use the money it would take to throw a shower and buy what we want for the baby. Showers are expensive and there is no guarantee your going to get what you need or that a lot of people will show up so we didn't want to chance it.
Yeah tradition is someone else does it for you and your surprised but I just don't trust my family to do one so I'd rather plan it myself real nice and simple
We are and close to spending $400. Keeping it simple but hoping for a great turn out.
Just keep it small and simple... Baby showers don't have to be wedding to for your friends and family to support and celebrate your joy? You don't need so much hooplah!! Some drinks a few appetizers and good company
@elijahsmommy, we are paying for majority of it. Ugh..so far, we've spent over $400 and that's not even for the food, cake, desserts and candy bar! I didn't realize how costly it was. yikes
my mom says other people are suppose to but she hasfour kids amd has one going on three grandkids two of which she provides everythimg for cuz my lil sis ismt old enough to work yet and im only just about to be 18 so none of my friends would be able to afford to throw one @karinagrace
In my culture we have this party that happens 40 days after the baby is born. Everyone can come and meet the baby. I live 5 hours away from my family so we'll see if any of them show up!
