Anyone else's newborn not want to sleep at night!? Lol I swear my daughter hates us. She will sleep good throughout the day whether she's in her pack n play, swing or even on the sofa. At night she does not want to sleep especially in her bassinet. Ftm so I'm not sure what to do to help her get on a time schedule eventually

@_akgirl, I formula feed. @jennatess that makes sense lol I just worry she won't ever sleep in her bassinet. She's fine when she is with you but then when we put her in there it's game over haha

Totally normal. She's only a week old. They say to start "adjusting" her to day and night when she's 2 months old. She will understand and be more receptive at that age. Adjusting as in, when it's time for nap time, or bedtime, you dim all the lights, move slowly and talk quietly. Lay her down sleepY not sleepING. And then when she wakes up from naps or in the morning you act all bright eyed and bushy tailed. Haha. Turn on the lights, and talk all happy too her. But, that will all be when she's a little older. 😊 Now she's just so young, her main objective is to eat, and sleep. Haha!

@_akgirl, okay thank you. I figured she won't sleep for the night for awhile but she's been waking up ever hour or two and sometimes im not sure what she wants if she's been fed and changed

it's normal. because in the womb they were rocked to sleep all day by you being up and about. It usually regulates around 6ish weeks. then you can start with a night time routine (eat, bath, massage, etc) to help baby get use to it. but baby probably won't sleep through the night until about 2 years old.

So we got in super late last night. Had to carry my daughter to bed. She had the nerve to try and wake me up at 7:30am saying she wanted breakfast. Smh (She wanted me to fix her a spread)🙄 I told her to choose some cereal. I'll fix her a bowl. Of course there wasn't any cereal that she wanted today 😴 I told her spoiled ass to figure it out and I went back to sleep 😂🤣 She ate an eggo.

I just absolutely love some women on here! Some woman wants to write on another women's post telling her she shouldn't be having sex at all in the beginning of pregnancy. I didn't know she was her doctor. Then she wants to tell me that the first trimester is only 1-9 weeks pregnant. And she lost her baby at 4 weeks pregnant due to sex. Like sweetie that's your period starting!

So my baby is 8 weeks old and is thriving with weight gain each doctors visit. So here is my question: around 4-5 hours at night for sleep she wakes up every night and sucks on her thumb. (She finally this week likes it to soothe her during nap times) her eyes are still closed and she moves around and sucks it. I wake her to feed her. My question is should I just let it go? And see if she is just soothing herself to sleep? I don't want her to stave by morning if she sleep a couple of more hours. What would you guys do?
