I didn't touch alcohol at all ! That is the most dumbest question to ask if you should drink one ! Although some people do ther are those chances of something happening to your child! You can drink odouls if your really craving beer ob recommended !

I would not even recommend it! That's just me personally I didn't risk my unborns life! Just wait it's not worth it!

Drink what ? And this is why I was asking because I don't want to hurt my baby and I trust my preggie friends so I don't think any questions are dumb . It's my first time being pregnant so I do have many questions and wouldn't want to think one is dumb and not even ask

Why risk it? 9 months isn't long I rather leave it at that!

You're pregnant. You cannot drink alcohol- whatsoever. C'mon now, it's common sense. Would you give your newborn a sip of beer? No? Okay then, don't drink while pregnant because it's the same thing.

@1st.timemommy, I've had beer cravings like crazy. I found a non alcoholic that actually tastes like beer (definitely doesn't taste like corona) but has 0 alcohol in it. It's alcohol free beer called Bitburger Drive. Definitely worth a try if you want to have a cold beer with friends...I keep a 6 pack around for situations like the one you're in tonight.

I don't drink like before I was pregnant I didn't drink so im not an alcoholic or anything I just had a craving and was asking a question but some people just don't understand

en México las doña dicen que una esta bien. osea no se hace costumbre pero k según contiene levadura y es bueno para que te baje la leche. no se que tan cierto sea porque ya vez como son.

I did research on this and there were doctors saying it is totally fine to have a drink or two a week. Also, I heard it's actually healthy to have a glass of wine here and there. Wine also has more alcohol than a beer. The main reason they tell women not to drink is so they don't get carried away. I don't think it would hurt every once in awhile. I wouldn't make it an every day thing, though!

I also would probably stay away from hard liquor.

I agree with @metalmomma and I'm truly sorry people are being so rude about you asking a question. I had a little champagne on my wedding night. I don't regret it. My baby is fine and healthy, rule of thumb is, if you feel the alcohol, the baby definitely does. So you shouldn't get to the point of being buzzed or more, you know? Just a few sips or a glass doesn't do anything.

Don't beat yourself up for asking the question @1st.timemommy. There are lots of conflicting opinions on having a drink of alcohol during pregnancy. I would love to have a glass of wine, but I won't because I know that I would end up feeling guilty.

people are so mean her geez. we all know how the cravings work and if she feels like she is comfortable enough to as us on this Forum then we should be her support system and nicely tell her that she shouldn't drink. this forum it to SUPPORT each other not dropkick one another😥

ugh. some people make me sick. women can be such bitches. don't even mind that jackass who said your question was dumb. she is officially BLOCKED from my preggie. Unless you are high risk or a recovering alcoholic, ONE BEER is not going to hurt. I wouldn't do it on a regular basis or drink more than one, but you shouldn't be bullied into a state of fear just because some other people on here have such strong opinions about it. I've seen some women on here who eat entire 1\2 gallons of ice cream & that obviously can't be healthy. I'm not a doctor, so don't take my word for it. I would speak with a professional if you have any doubts. my doc told me a glass of red wine was OK every once in a while. a beer has 1\3 the amount of alcohol as wine. I personally don't have an interest in alcohol anymore, so I haven't had any while pregnant this time around. but I had a small amount of champagne on my wedding night with my first and a beer or two with my second. my kids are perfectly healthy and had ZERO complications when they were born.

bottom line: its your choice. call your doc if youre not sure. but don't let mean girls talk to you like that and make you feel stupid for asking a very valid question during your pregnancy. No question is a dumb question. 😃
