If they can't be positive and supportive, they don't deserve to be there with you. It would be a privilege to be a part of that experience and if they don't treat it as such, screw them. You can absolutely have an unmedicated birth or any birth you want!! But it will be very, very hard if you have people around you with the wrong energy. Good luck!! :)

@tonifeise1, I tried it with my first and would have succeeded if not for needing an emergency c-section...the only thing that kept me calm and focused enough to not need medication was NOT having anyone in the room with me. that was 5 yrs ago almost and my family is still bitter about it but I don't care...in that moment its all about you and that baby. if I wasn't high risk and forced to have another c-section I would do it all over just the same! you got this girl!

I tried to go unmedicated with my first but my body went into shock but you can do it we are made to have babies don't let anyone tell you otherwise 😀

You can do it, girl! Us girls were meant to be able to take the pain. I've done it. Its not easy, but it is possible
