Curious About what happens at the first prenatal visit? Do you get a ultrasound?

I did with my first but didn't with my second. They scheduled me an ultrasound not long after though, like a few days after my appointment. They swab you, do a urine test, and check everything down there. They did a breast exam on me, and they drew blood.

I had a vaginal ultrasound, they listen to the heart beat. Then feel up in your "baby carriage" which is a weird word for your vag. you get pics to take home!

I had an ultrasound but they wouldn't see me till I was 7wks because some times all you will see is the sack at 4-5wks (sometimes)

Yes they do one to get the measurements of the baby and confirm pregnancy... Even with a positive test

From what I remember, theyll ask you a bunch of questions about your health, medical history from you and baby"s father family, sex, etc. they'll swab your cervix, urine sample, check your breasts. And they gave me my flu shot not sure if they will too

@theeawesomemom Also draw your blood. i didn't get an ultrasound but it may differ

for me I just talked to my OB she asked me a lot of questions took my weight and blood pressure and set up my next appointment until I'm 12 weeks to get to hear the babys heart. unfortunately no ultrasound

My first appointment was at 5 weeks and they pretty much told me I was pregnant and then I left. I have one scheduled in a week and I'll be around nine then, hoping they'll do one!!
