Did anybody see the hash tag shout your abortion on Twitter? It's pretty much women praising their abortions and how that decision made their lives better..which is fine...but I'm just anti abortion and At the end of the day to me they aren't celebrating anything positive..they took a life away that didn't even have a chance or the choice...when you have unprotected sex your chances of getting pregnant are always there point blank ..why end a life because of a poor decision you made? I know this is a touchy subject but this is just my personal feelings on it

I do t personally feel anyone is bashing anyone's choice a lot of ladies on this thread said they are pro choice but just not the choice they would chose for themselves that's all

Of course there are thousands of better ways to raise awareness I completely agree & I also agree there's those women who abuse abortion rights as well . My main problem is that not all women are like that & getting people to understand that. I've personally never had one & never plan on it but I also don't bash those who do . We all make poor choices, theirs are just on hashtag lol

@athenas_mommy, I don't think people are looking for it it's hard to miss a trending topic on Twitter and Facebook...but there are woman on the # who didn't want kids but had unprotected sex..so what do you say about those woman? It's a little backwards to me...but there are woman who had legit reasons on whynot...I'm not really judging them because it's their lives their body I just feel like there could be a better way to raise awareness and empower other than a hash tag

See, and while i am all for women making their own choices with their body, I still don't understand their need to "shout their abortion." That's the route you decided to take, but why brag about it and tell the world. I feel like that's a dark time, not something to be proud of. That's just my opinion.

I think it's hypocritical to say it's a slap in the face to those who can't have kids cause ... If you can't have kids why are you going out your way to look at abortion hashtags ??? It not celebrating abortions it spreading awareness to those who have horrible circumstances & need help not just because you fucked up & didn't use a rubber. Come on ladies we know better than this . & to assume that every woman uses as an escape boat makes YOU a hypocrite for assuming all women are the same .

I'm all for woman's choice and everything like that. its their decision, but I'm also not a fan of abortion so I yeah. but here's the thing if you get it done for what ever reasons ok that's up to but I wouldnt comfortable to # it or ever broadcast it to millions of people . what would your mother, aunts, grandmother ect think if they seen that?

Its not about celebrating abortion. Its about ending the shame, stigma and taboo attached to it. The creators of the hashtag even stated this and made the clarification

Unfortunately hashtags and social media get across to more people nowadays-which makes just about everything seem more insensitive 😕

@mickbaby, I know what they are trying to do but I feel like they could have raised awareness a bit differently

I think it's coming at a time when so many politicians are trying to shut down Planned Parenthood. I assume they are trying to bring awareness to the sometimes necessity of abortion(I.e. Rape, molestation, etc). I'm pro choice for those specific situations and honestly it's their bodies. I suggest watching Elizabeth Warrens speech about defunding Planned Parenthood. While I think it abortion is a personal choice, it's obviously not something to be celebrated. I just don't think that's the case with this hashtag.

What bothered me is that they think the procedure isn't murderous at all...but just like we feel pain the baby feels pain...I'm sure if they watched their procedures getting done their opinions will change a little..like I said to each his own though this is a very touchy subject

I'll start off with I'm pro-choice, I'd never judge anyone for their decision. Regardless. 1-100 abortions, it isn't my job to judge them. It honestly took me becoming a mother to realize that was their choice no matter how much we don't like it. But I do think empowering their choice is a little much. Making it a hash tag is a little much, even to me. but to each their own. But I think it's great that they're standing up for their decision and not hiding behind it. I'm iffy with this discussion really. At least they're speaking up for their actions though.

Yeah @breloya my cousin had one about 3 years ago and even though now she has a beautiful little girl and her life is much better than she could have ever imagined she regrets it to this very day every year she's reminded of the child that could have been if it was a boy or a girl what it would of grown up like its hard in her every single day

@brandylemonds15, @breloya everyone has a choice and that's something that they have to live with and I'm not really knocking it I'm just against abortion and against the way they are celebrating a death pretty much...the point is to not be ashamed of your decision and that you shouldn't feel bad but I think this is a bad way took about it

What they chose to do is their own business.... but making it a hashtag and celebration to me is a slap in the face to women who can not have children.

@brandylemonds15, I think that's horrible too and I'm entirely pro-choice. If someone if using it as a contraceptive/form of birth control to be irresponsible I think that's messed up. I feel like it should be a last resort just in case kind of thing. People don't deserve to even be able to conceive if they're running around unprotected thinking, "I'll just abort it if I get pregnant' nbd!" That's disgusting :(

I seen it on Facebook , I mean more power to them but what kinda message is that sending to little girls who see it , there going to see it and think they can just do whatever with there body and if it results in a baby they can just throw it away , it doesn't state the risks of abortions I know a girl in high school who had 4 abortions who now as a result can no longer conceive I mean it's there body there child so they can do as they wish but that's why I'm against abortions for myself

I read about it on trending topics on Facebook. I wouldn't bash one who has had an abortion, but it just isn't for me. I could never do it. And I don't understand the hashtag. It's like celebrating an abortion. I thought that was something that even if you have it done, you think about what could have been. You think about what your baby might like or dislike or how old they'd be now, not celebrate aborting them. But maybe I'm missing the point of the tag or something.

I think it's lovely tbh. There are women talking about everything they have accomplished but wouldn't have been able to if it weren't for the extremely difficult decision they had to make. Who can now properly love and care for their children that were planned. But theyre obviously all pro-choice like me so pro-lifers probably wouldn't like the hashtag.

So as im on facebook i see something about "abortion" my opinion is if you make the grown up decision to lay down and have a baby. You should have to get on your feet and raise that baby. No abortions or adoption. YOU made the decision. Now grow up and do whats right☺ i quit school in the 9th grade and when i found out i was pregnant started my GED classes to get my life on track. You just have to want to do good for you and your child.
