what are yalls thoughts on the whooping cough shot???

I got it but had to wait till I was 28 weeks but I was encouraged to do it and I got mine done. my hubby got one so did my best bud and her husband. so it's a nice safe environment

My niece wasn't vaccinated against it. Her mother never got the shot.

With whooping cough especially, the people that are contracting the disease are the ones who have been vaccinated against it. I don't think you should make your decision on any one else's decision- I can provide you with a great amount of information on BOTH sides of the argument if you are interested. I have access to tons and tons and am a part of some pretty big groups in CA.

I have and always will refuse the tDap.

Whopping cough KILLLS newborns, I don't know why anyone would take that chance with their child. I saw my 4 month old niece hospitalized because of it, she almost didn't live. I would rather take the VERY SMALL chance of having a reaction from the vaccine over my helpless infant getting sick.

I got it around 12 weeks @nichole8790 cus i didnt know about it until i saw that on my mychart website it said im overdue for one so i got that & the pneumonia shot at the same time

I got it.

I never got one with either of my pregnancies and I won't get one this time, to me I feel kinda like a flu shot I'll take my chances

i got it. but you have to get it where i stay its good for you and the baby.. But its worth it to me.

I declined and will continue my normal healthy life.

If you have ever seen a baby with whooping cough, I don't even think it would it would be a question in your mind. They have all the information on the cdc website.

Had no choice but to get it since its a state requirement but I would of gotten it either way...better safe than sorry

Im curious too. My doctor said I should get it but I hate even taking Tylenol so im a little iffy about it. I know my doctor wouldn't recommend it if it was unsafe but im still on the fence about it

I had them all done. better to be safe than sorry.
