So I am curious, I see a lot of posts saying it's healthy for a pregnant woman to eat salmon but I hear fish isn't safe to eat because of the mercury content. So is it safe to eat or is it not? Confusing......

Some fish is fine it's the exotic fish that have mercury

Mercury consumed during pregnancy has been linked to developmental delays and brain damage. A sample of these types of fish include: shark, swordfish, king mackerel, and tilefish. Canned, chunk light tuna generally has a lower amount of mercury than other tuna, but still should only be eaten in moderation.

I heard the fish you need to stay away from is the fish that eat other fish. those have lots of mercury like swordfish was one on the list

Salmon is more than safe is actually recommended for its omega 3 content.

I would look it up on google. Salmon is safe yes and there are other fish you can eat but you have to limit how much of certain fish you eat and there are others you cannot eat
