Finally have an antenatal today after not seeing anyone since 17wks (and even then it was just a lecture from my consultant about being old and high risk and not being allowed a home birth!) As yet, nobody has done anything beyond testing my wee or bloodpressure! Bump has not been measured or heard jellybeans heartbeat. so much for high risk... I'm 28weeks tomorrow!!! 😱
Must remember to ask for my MatB1 for work else my manager is going to go spare 😬
Wonder if this will be the start of regular checkups or if I won't now see anyone until D-day 😜
I guess by #5 they figure you are almost a qualified midwife experience-wise so leave you to it???

haha wow, i guess at least that kinda puts ur mind at rest a little. altho, high risk should surely be monitored closely tut tut, naughty trust lol. i saw some people on here get docs appts when they find out their pregnant, we dont get that here, we phone the midwives and register ourselves 😐 very confusing. aw, team pink over here x
Team blue here! I'm a qualified nurse of 18yrs and have my own sphygmomanometer, doppler, urine test sticks and I work for the trust "looking after me" so I can log into the system and check all my test results but that's besides the point lol 😁 it can be a total joke huh! 😔
Haha i know how ya feel! im high risk but because my consultant was a complete knob and i requested to be changed to a different one, my appointments were all over the place. Altho at my 16 week midwife appointment she booked me in for a 25 week check up with her, apparently us high riskers get an extra check here and there. Although from reading stuff on here, it does all vary depending on where u live. hope everything goes well for ya :-) do u know what ur having xx
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

congrats on team pink. I registered at my surgery at 10weeks saw midwife at 13 to book in and consultant at 17. I've had scans but no appointments to report on them lol
