so I've been having belly tightening almost like a contraction and it stays consistent for more than a few minutes it stays rock hard and it doesn't go away unless I'm laying down and when I get back up it starts again it is painful not too much but very uncomfortable, has this happened to anyone before? Called my dr and the nurse said to go in but I don't want to get sent home I've been there twice last week. I know none of you are Dr's but I wanna know if anyone else has experienced this
Yea I'm ready for her to be out already! lol I didn't experience this with my first everything is so different @jennatess
@jenii, sometimes you could be transitioning into active labor and still not really have pain just yet. But, like I said - sounds likes the baby is just sitting a bit wonky.
I'm gonna do that I might just wait it out see how I'm feeling tomorrow thanks ladies!! @jennatess @havynsmomma0625
but nothing else hurts I was 2cm dilated and 50 effaced on Monday so I'm really debating if I should go in baby's moving fine other than the uncomfortable feeling @havynsmomma0625 @jennatess
@jenii, yeah. Sounds like the baby is just sitting strange. So some cat/cows, drink water, and if you have a exercise ball, sit on that a bit. That will move the baby in a better position. That's probably what they would have you do anyway, and then hook you up to the fetal monitor if the pain continues
It's been happening since maybe 3 hrs but when I lay down my belly gets soft again then when I stand for not even 5 mins it gets rock hard like a very loooong contraction never ending one @havynsmomma0625 @jennatess
That's what happened to me! I went a few days ago they said I was dehydrated so I started drinking lots of water and it still didn't help. I had to stretch leaning back to help stretch my stomach I know weird but that's how it felt better if I was standing @havynsmomma0625
Drink a big glass of water, and do a couple sets of cat/cows. If it continues through the next hour, I would go in.
Drink about 2 bottles of water here in the next hour and lay down, see if it subsides. If it doesn't then yes I'd say go in
Sounds like baby may be in an awkward position, that or you're dehydrated . Sounds weird but I went in three days ago because my stomach wouldn't untighten unless I was leaning forward with my hands on my knees and they said it was dehydration because the uterus is a muscle and without the needed amount of water it can cause the body to overwork
Regular contractions don't last for minutes. I would say you're dehydrated. Same thing happened to me around this time in my pregnancy. try drinking a lot of water and relax for a bit.
