I am a FTM and wondering if anyone else not sure if they want to use binkies/pacifiers? so you don't…

I use them, it helps my baby to go to sleep or calm herself and that's the only time she will use them...she will spit them out if she doesn't want it or right after she falls asleep.

Me and my fiance are going through the same problem. I personally want to use them as a comfort or temporary solution for fussing if I'm like in the car or something, some babies are easier to break and I think the teeth only have problems if they are still using it then their teeth are coming in; My fiance on the other hand doesn't want anything to do with pacifiers for the reasons you said, having to break another habit and potential teeth problems. So I guess it's all just a personal preference as to what you want to do.

I feel like they'll be okay for the first couple month. But I definitely won't use them after maybe 6 months.

I'm gonna use them up until the first tooth breaks in for the main fact they also help with teething pains

My first boy used one for like 3 weeks and just hated them afterwards lol so he did it for me !

I'm not using them, because the kid I babysat couldn't go a min without one and he would cry if I took it from him .. And even after having one in his mouth if he saw one on the floor he would grab it put it in his mouth & he has teeth problems.

On the other hand my nephew has amazing teeth and never used a pacifier . So I'm going for no pacifier

I never used one... Not going to with this one either... My personal opinion is I don't want to have a habit to break or driving to the store in the middle of the night to replace it (previous baby sitting issues)..

I use one every once in awhile if she needs it, she usually spits it out . I never used a pacifier but my teeth were a little messed up

I used with my son and really didn't have it bad when I threw them away. I took him off the bottle first and then the pacifier a few months ltr.

My son only liked one particular kind that had a little stuffed animal on it and wouldn't take any other. We lost him once on accident and bought him a replacement. By the time we got if he didn't even want it anymore so we where lucky with that but a few friends of mine started weening theirs off about the same time as a bottle.
