Did anyone else have problems getting medicaid? I cant see a doctor until I have a medicaid number but my medicaid is pending and they dont give you a number until youre accepted? They told me it can take up to 6 months to be accepted. My baby is due in 4!!
Go down to the actual office. if you did it over the phone or online it takes a lot longer. But if you go to the welfare office it really should only take about a week. you def. cannot wait that long for the insurance to kick in, especially if there's a rh factor with your blood.
Here in Oregon when you apply for medical they don't deny you if you're pregnant. They approve you right away. I had medical through my job and then when I was about 11 weeks I lost my job and applied for medical through the state and was approved right away.
wow it takes 15 days in my state. hopefully u get it quicker hun.
Medicaid applications for pregnant women is usually processed faster than regular Medicaid. You should call them bc maybe they don't realize it's a pregnancy application. Sometimes idk where they get these social workers from!
I live in Bluffton which is huge compared to where I'm from lol Can you go to the hospital without being in some sort of pain?? I'm 20w3d and still don't know what I'm having...
@nathanswifey7, oh wow. That's insane!! I'm sorry! Is the town you live in small? What about going to a hospital? You will owe them later. But you will get to find out the gender and check on baby and yourself!
@awn0710, thank you! and I cant find one, but Ive also only been here a few weeks. Everyone Ive talked to recommends me to the same place (who asks $1500/visit)...
they should've gave you a temporary number/card till they decided if your approved or denied. that's what they did with me.
@nathanswifey7, oh wow. Well that's horrible!! Their should be some way to be seen by a doctor. Is there a free clinic in the area? Here we have a women's center who will check you for free. Make sure baby is okay and that you are okay! Hope things hurry up for you and you guys get approved soon! But glad to hear that you have a home in SC now!
@awn0710, I was homeless in Arkansas and a home was provided for me in South Carolina, so I had to change states and they don't accept the medicaid I used to have outside of Arkansas, so I had to refile for medicaide here :/
they told me 6 weeks and the Medicaid office gave me a pending sheet and my doctor saw me even when it was pending no charge.
Why is it taking so long to get approved? Mine took less than 4 weeks. I was 5 and 1/2 weeks when I applied and 10.3 weeks at my first appointment! That was application. Interview. Choosing my insurance plan. Waiting for my insurance cards and ECT!!!
they said I either had to have an insurance # or cash in hand. I dont have enough for cash in hand. I told them on the phone that I didn't and that I guess I wouldn't be able to make appointments for the baby and they just said "I'm sorry have a nice day", and hung up.
no call up to that office they need to fix that . it's supposed to be expedited
idk what to do cuz my dr wont see me and i was told that I needed a shot because im O- and other things but I cant even get a check up.... Im so lost!!
Yes I still have that problem I'm 7months and still pending. luckily my doctor is understanding. I applied when I was around 10weeks now I'm about to be 28weeks. bs. bs. bs

‼️QUESTION‼️
I have been monitoring my blood pressure but I was wondering what is "too high" for the top number and "too high" for the bottom number also what's a good heart rate average
One day and 13 hours untill I have my baby and I can see my feet 😂🙏🏼
does anybody have any idea how to switch my medicaid? I want to switch my Medicaid so badd and to what?
Yes, I did mine at the office and it took 6 weeks to hear back...they gave me a paper with my number but I still don't have a card and it's been 3 months. My doctor threw a fit last time because I didn't have a card
