no, your OB checks that, not the ultrasound technician.

This is the perinatologist that I go to that checks my cervical length through ultrasound every 2 weeks because I'm at risk for preterm labor. They wouldn't be able to see through ultrasound if I was dilated or anything?

Can you be dilated if your cervix length is still there? Or does the cervical length have to be gone before you can dilate? @kelseys Sorry for the series or 21 questions lol

I go tomorrow to check babys growth also...he was measuring 3 weeks ahead 2 weeks ago..im already doing my 2 week appts..he didnt say he was gonna check my cervix..should I expect that tomorrow??

Have you done your glucose test yet to rule out diabetes? And Not necessarily. I've been getting ultrasounds every 2 weeks since I was 24 weeks because I had a short cervix and am at risk for preterm labor due to my uterus shape so they check on my cervix every 2 weeks and on every 4th week they check my baby's growth so this isn't what they do for everyone, I'm high risk and get checked every 2 weeks as a precaution.

yea I had it done about 4 weeks ago and it came back good...my baby has measured big for about 2 months now sometimes its 1 weeks,then 2weeks now he's 3 weeks ahead...doctor didnt seem concerned about it when he was 2 weeks just scheduled an ultrasound to.check fluid, well it was good went back two weeks later and now he's measuring 3 weeks ahead so he scheduled one for tomorrow...he said again to check fluid or just see if he is gonna be a big baby...I hate when my doctor is kinda dry...:(

Wow three weeks? my baby was measuring 1-2 weeks ahead of average at every ultrasound so they changed my due date because my first due date wasn't based on my LMP but now it is and he's measuring better with my LMP date. Is your due date based off your LMP ?

they did at first..then realized it was off cause my periods were not regular after I was trying to get pregnant...when they went off my LMP it put me 3 weeks ahead then they did the ultrasound and said I was only right at 4 weeks pregnant ( they thought 7 based off LMP) so I dont know :( it's frustrating cause my doctor doesnt act like he is gonna change my EDD...

based on what all the doctors that I've seen have told me, if there's a 10 day difference then they start to worry and try to figure out whats going on, especially if there's consistently more than a 10 day difference at every appt. What was your EDD based on your first ultrasound? Does baby's growth follow that more appropriately?

when I first found out that I was pregnant I went to the doctor and they verified it with a urine test then based it off my LMP which I tried to tell them they were off ever since I had gotten off my BC and put on ovulation medication...I switched doctors right after that cause they made me mad and when I went to my new doctor they did an y

ultrasound and thats when they found I was around 4 weeks instead of 7 weeks (which they based off my LMP at the other doctors) at the first doctor I seen he gave me 6-23-15 EDD... then at the new doctor and after the ultrasound they changed it to 7-11-15....sorry for the long explanation lol....but yes to ur question the first EDD would fit better with my measurments then the EDD I have now :-)

we have the same EDD!! what are you having BTW? and in that case they should stick to your first due date...

lol its ok...in having a boy! :-) and yes I agree..but ive asked three different times if they though he would change my due date.and.they keep saying no...well tomorrow he.better tell me.something cause if I carry him full term at still measuring in 3 weeks ahead ima be miserable and huge!! lol

Wow I'm having a boy too @rcdonjuan Yeah just be straight up with them, tell them how you feel and your concerns. and right now even with my new EDD my baby is measuring 33w6d even though I'm only 32w4d. Just left my appt and doctor said it doesn't mean I'll deliver a week early or anything and that a little over a weeks difference isn't anything to worry about. I'm already huge now! can't believe how much bigger I'm going to get within the next few weeks!! I'm scared for myself! lol

I know..tomorrow ima just see first if he's still measuring in ahead and if so ima ask what he thinks is best or what I should do...as long as he's heathly im good :-) but if I go tomorrow and he's measuring in at 35 weeks ima freak out lol...wish me luck :-)
