My turn. Ugh. Induction due to health issues. So far, just had a pill inserted to soften my cervix. And they'll check on me in 2 hours to see how my cervix progressed.

It went well except I completely freaked out when I could feel too much tugging and pulling. I hated it. So they gave me some killer medicine that put me in another world and forget what happened. I had a lot of discomfort after and it took them a while to give me pain meds. Not sure why but I was really out of it for like an hour after surgery. I'm doing good now tho. They just cleaned and changed me. And also walk around the unit.
Ended up having a May baby after all ?

I don't know how I'm so calm besides my husband being here. I was scared of pushing but after hearing that a c section might be possible I'm like, bring on the pushing. Especially with this new lower pain. Vaginal pain and contractions are painful with epidural.
@myriam88 aww I know how you feel. I've got ice chips, sucking on hard candies, sips of water/apple juice. The nurse said I could have those. Not too much juice but a little helps to make us feel normal. I'm so hungry too ? get any chance you can to sleep is my advice because you just never know.

Thank you so much. You're very sweet. My current status is... Anesthesiologist said this low pain can be a sign of baby coming down. Which is way good! So they're asking the dr to check me before they try n give me meds because if I go into labor soon I won't be able to push.

Dr came and checked me at 2pm. (Now almost 8pm)
Still 5.75 cm. If I don't progress = c section. Because something might be wrong which is why he's not coming down. Like, pelvis not in correct formation for his head.
But they upped my dose of pitocin. They'll check on me in 30mins- 2 more hours, then we'll be reassessed.
I'm bloody terrified of a c section due to my anxiety. I had said before that I just wanted to be put to sleep (general anesthesia) but I heard it's not good for baby so now I'm even more worried. I know people say, "you'll do what you need to for baby" so I feel horrible saying this and seeming selfish but I really can't help being so afraid and a c section causing me so much anxiety. ? Feeling like a real crappy mom already.
We took a pitocin break for an hour for my body to relax. And then dr broke my water and inserted a contraction measurer internally so we can get a better read on contractions and not have to constantly to check up down there so no kind of infection. Now, I've been upped twice on the pitocin and my contraction measurements are just about where they need to be. When the contractions are where they need to be they'll level out the pitocin and we're hoping baby Gabriel is making his way down. He's been pretty stubborn but I understand inducing isn't easy. Going on 30 hours.
I'm so out of it. Thankfully hubby and I got to sleep a little bit. I'm so thankful for him. He helps so much.
Dr checked me around midnight and I was only 4cm dilated. Pitocin still going so we're hoping that dilates me more.
Still no baby. I got the epidural right before the pitocin. Epidural didn't hurt at all. Anesthesiologist was great ??. Having contractions and can't feel them is nice. I was afraid of getting the epidural too early but I had contractions with the balloon so I got a taste of them. I was worried about the dosage set up they're gradually putting me on pitocin and when I'd be able to comfortably get the epidural but I think I did a good job choosing the time. It was this or an hour into the pitocin. So not much difference. And being that it's 3:15am here now, I've been able to get a couple of hours of sleep.

They checked and I was 1cm, enough to put the balloon in me. It's been 1.5 hrs. This stuff hurts ? Then pitocin. ?
Has anyone tried evening primrose oil to start soften they cervix ? My sister did it and she had her baby this morning at 39 weeks
Mr Dr told me my insides are pretty so are my cervix LMAO thanks doc.
Had my cervix checked (at hospital) on Sunday 1cm dilated.... go today my doc says I’m not dilated at all . Ummmmmmmmm 🤷🏾♀️
I have an appt to check my baby's growth and check my cervix today. I'm at risk for preterm labor and was wondering when they check my cervix through ultrasound if they can see if I'm dilated or anything like that?
Lord my baby head is pressing so hard on my cervix barely can walk 😫😫😫.
