When can a pregnant woman start receiving wic? I automatically income qualify but my boyfriend insists that you don't receive wic benefits until the 3rd trimester and keeps telling me to wait to apply. Is it true that you don't get wic until the 3rd trimester? I can't find anything that suggests it is.

as long as you have proof of pregnancy like a note from your doctor you can receive it anytime
You get it anytime your pregnant . I started getting mine at 6 weeks :)
no you get it anytime you are pregnant. you dont have to wait til the 3rd trimester.

Okay thank you ladies. the doctor gave me the paper for the wic office at my first appointment at 8 weeks. so far I haven't had time to make the appointment because we work 9 to 5 jobs but have time off this week for our gender scan and I figured we could make a wic appointment the same day. just wanted to make sure I was right about when I can get it :)
Nope not true , you can get WIC as soon as you have proof from your doctor that you're pregnant! Your doctor is supposed to give you a paper for the WIC office
