I need advice!!!
Okay so I'm 33 weeks right now with a little girl who is almost 6 pounds. Note I am a little over 5 feet tall with a really short torso and scoliosis in two parts of my spine with a small bone frame. Doctor says she is physically too big for my body and wants to get her out in the beginning of June . My question is with me always being uncomfortable and in pain 24/7 how do I know if I am in preterm labor? I lost my mucous plug a week ago, I now have a ton of pressure on my cervix, I keep feeling pinching in my lower uterine area, and my stomach randomly tightens up and gets rock hard. Help?!?!?! I can't afford another hospital trip until it's the real deal!
The tightening you're feeling is most likely Braxton hicks which are "practice" contractions, but aren't a reason to go to the hospital. I would say your body is just getting ready, and because you're so small you're really feeling it. You will know if real contractions come, they will be painful, to the point where you have to stop until it's over. Just try to relax as much as you can and stay hydrated.
I know you didnt ask this but a lot of times they can be wrong with the baby size by up to 2lbs. They told me at like 38 weeks that my baby was over 7 1/2 lbs and I had him 3 weeks later and he was 6.10
