I went to get a Eco done today . everything turned out great ! she's perfectly healthy. But they told me due to her Two Vessel Cord Im more them likely going to have a C section. Can any of the mommies that had c sections tell me what to expect.
@kayla1996, it always good to know and have info about a c section just incase...before I had my baby I read up on it so if I needed one I would at least know something about it. I'm not going to lie I was terrified because I have never had surgery before but it was over so quick...it took longer to prep me lol.
@eskawho OK 😊 thanks for sharing ur story. I'm not sure if I have to have one BC the doctor that told me this wasn't my actual doctor. but I'm going to talk to him about it next time I see him
I wasn't an emergency but it was the same as @hayleymarie I however just got a shot in the spine to numb me..the c section was very quick all I felt was tugging but wasn't bad. I was up walking around as soon as I could fully feel my legs again not sure how long it was maybe 12 hours. I was on pain meds for two weeks and was sore but I took it easy. I'm now 6 weeks pp and have no pain I do have numbness above the area but I don't think it will go away...my sister in law has it and her kid is now 7 years old. over all it wasn't to bad just a longer recovery. I just remember thinking during it right after it started with in intestinal she was out and I couldn't believe how fast it went...I got to do skin on skin for 10 minutes or so and really didn't think about the rest of the surgery
Honestly i was scared at first mainly because the reason I had one was because I wasn't dilating and my contractions were too strong and too close so my daughters heart rate kept dropping and I couldn't breathe but honestly it was what was best for us to keep us both alive and all the pain in the world is worth that to me 💕 good luck you'll do great 😘
Mine was an emergency c section but basically they put in an epidural to numb me kept upping my meds until i passed the "pinch test" where they pinch where they're going to cut and if it hurts they up your meds you will feel pressure and when baby and the placenta are delivered it slightly feels like a vacuum is being used on your insides I was up and moving the next day with some pain took pain meds for about 2 weeks then didn't need them anymore incision was healed by 6 weeks though my lower tummy still has a strange numbness to it at almost 3 months PP that may never go away
