Labor Story: This past weekend I had mild cramping through the day and night. Sunday morning I had a bloody show...thinking that there was a possibility of me going into labor that day, I took advantage and cleaned the whole house. With no signs of contractions or water breaking (only mild period like cramps) I went to bed disappointed. Monday morning at 4am, I was woken up by a sharp contraction, so sharp it made me sweat. Decided to start tracking the number of contractions, just to be on the safe side. For a full hour they were about 5 mins apart. I woke up my husband at 5am and told him it might be the day. We stayed up for a while and continued counting contractions. When I went to pee....I had another bloody show. That's when I decided to call Labor & Delivery. They told me to continue to track them and drink plenty of water. Since I had my weekly Dr appt at 9:45am that day, we decided to hold off until then. We didn't want to be sent home from the hospital for a false alarm. We packed all our bags and stopped at Wal-Mart to buy a nursing cami. LOL my husband offered to go by himself later to buy it, but we all know men have trouble in that department. 😂 Plus, walking helps...so contractions and all there I was wobbling my way through Wal-Mart. When we got to the Dr office for my checkup, I was 2 1/2 cm dilated and my cervix already moved...she was ready to make an appearance!! 👶. They sent me straight to the hospital to be admitted. By 12:45 I received the epidural, let me tell you.....I HATE when people touch my spine so it was very rough for me. After that it was all down hill.....felt no more pain THANK YOU JESUS!! Then broke my water around 1:30pm and gave me some pitocin. Around 2:45pm I started feeling pressure, like I had to poop, they checked me out and I was 9cm dilated!! My Dr gets here and my girl was crowned....I didn't even have to push she came out all on her own. 🚼 My Dr was in complete shock....lol she basically just had to catch her. Oh let me tell you ladies, when I heard her cry I fell deeper in love! At 3pm she was born with a full head of curly hair, 6lbs 9oz. Latched on to my breast with no problem at all! The best part is she slept for most of the night, I had to get her up for feedings. Now this morning, by the Grace of God, she is being discharged and we will be able to go home!!!! I want to thank all of you guys for the well wishes and support these past few months! 👭 This app really helped me cope with this pregnancy.
