Breastfeeding Moms: WHY IS PUMPING NOT GETTING IT ALL OUT? I feel like my boobs are gonna explode, I've been pumping for an hour, and haven't even got an oz. out of them! HELP!!!! 😭

My breast are heavy and full with milk but when I squeeze nothing comes out and when I try to pump nothing is pumped into the breast pump its like I have milk but its stuck and wont come out...any tips or help on this.. i really would like to breastfeed my daughter....
Breast pump covered by insurance I've already done what I needed to find out what type of pump I get covered through insurance. It turns out, with my insurance, I can't even get my pump shipped to me until I call them with all the birth details of my baby. So...wth am I supposed to do having a baby and no pump?! I plan to pump exclusively and this REALLY throws a wrench in my plans.
Breastfeeding moms: so I am planning on going on a 3 day vacation with my hubby & a bunch of friends to Catalina in May, (my baby won't be going with us) and I do not wanna be pumping and dumping every 2 hours out there.. so if I don't pump or breastfeed for 3-4 days, will my milk supply drop significantly? 😩😩 & I don't know how I'm gonna deal with the engorgement pain if I can't find time to pump out there.
If i drank one beer and then pumped right after or waited a hour and pumped would it be out of my boob so i can breastfeed no judging please!!

It's not the same kind of stimulation I don't think. I had the same issue. my daughter wouldn't drink from a bottle at all though so I would get in the shower and let the hot water help me. or if you're going to pump get a shower or bath first. I was also told to try using a cloth, dip it into hot water and rest it over your boobs while pumping, keep a bowl of hot water by your side so you can rewet the cloth as needed.

it could be your pump too. not sure what you have but I had a pump that just wasn't strong enough. I had to spend a bit more on a medela double electric. worked really well. I heard insurance companies will sometimes pay for them now.

Try massaging or talking a hot shower first :)
