So I had my 8.5 check up and they didn't do ultra sound or anything they just checked my cervix and pap did this happen to anyone else?? I really wanted to hear the heart beat
There's no clear studies on the safety of ultrasounds so some drs do them far less than others. Guess it's just who you go with but it's not uncommon to not get them done more than once or twice.

Ok that makes me feel a little better my sister is keep on telling me to switch to her doc because she gets them every month
My first appt wasn't til 12 weeks. I did hear the hb but that's bc I was 12 weeks, even then is iffy to find it. Otherwise just a pap, checked cervix, weight, bp. My next is at 16 weeks & I'm expecting just a weight, bp & hear heartbeat.

Trigger. Lost baby Went in for my 20 week check up and found out our son had passed away. Nothing was wrong, my pregnancy has been going great. I'm so numb right now. What should I do if I lost my WIC checks?
Is it just my docs? Idk why, but every time I go to the doctor they just check my blood pressure, weight, urine, baby's heartbeat, and send me on my way!
I have an appt to check my baby's growth and check my cervix today. I'm at risk for preterm labor and was wondering when they check my cervix through ultrasound if they can see if I'm dilated or anything like that?
