Okay ladies...needing advice for heartburn. I usually don't have too much during the day, but starting to have some issue at night. Pepto was my best friend prepregnancy but they say you're not supposed to take it. I've tried several different antacids like tums, rolaids, and several off brands too. They stop the heartburn, but leave me feeling nauseous and sick to my stomach. I would try a little milk, but im allergic and makes me sick to my stomach as well. I have a while yet before my next doctor's appointment so I thought I'd give this a try to see if anyone else had similar issues and what they suggest?

Milk! It's a base which will help settle the acid in your stomach. Mylanta helps too.

I had heartburn prior to being pregnant, so my diet doesnt have any spicy foods in it. I got heartburn even from taco seasonings...lol. Doesnt taste spicy, but gave me heartburn bad.

milk actually makes heart burn worse. best advise don't eat spicy or highly acidic foods. don't drink a lot of anything before you lay down. small portions will be your friend. And as far as antacids they make me nauseous too. the mint ones seem to be best. but it is definitely a lesser of 2 evils.
