What do YOU judge Clearly, no one is a perfect parent nor do we know everything. But what’s something you judge a parent off of or just irks you?

I think they can hear you and it helps them bond once they are born if they better recognize your voice from when they were in the womb.

I always feel kind of funny talking to my belly.. But I'm sure it helps because when my husband talks to our baby and then stops or baby presses up against my belly more as if he wants his dad to keep talking. We did it a few times to see if we get the same results and we have.. So I guess there's something to it.

It makes a big difference once they are born. I was always around my mil while pregnant and my son would always kick when she talked once he was born he was so much more comfortable with her then even his dad. Because my husband never talked to my stomach and was working so much he wasn't around a lot. You could just tell the difference.

I feel like the baby knows who his father is but is indifferent to everyone else. He's way more active when his daddy is laying next to me and talking versus when I'm alone. My boyfriend will also lay his hand on my stomach and that's when we have felt Junior's strongest kicks. I'm not sure if he understands what's going on in terms of what we are talking about, but I'm almost 100% sure they can identify who is who due to how your voice changes and body reacts to hearing the other person yourself.

@steffanapolous - Tannon loved Alpha! Alpha would lay his head under my stomach and Tannon would kick like crazy! And anytime grandma would start talking he would get active. Wasn't much for his dad though. Made me sad that my husband wouldn't make more of an effort, even if they can't tell a difference (I think they can) the effort would have been nice.

Honestly, my boyfriend doesn't really talk to my stomach very often, so I totally understand and agree with you in I wish he did. But the baby still knows when he's around regardless, it's so strange! That's why I think they can feel how your body reacts to someone else, or maybe my boyfriend is always close enough to me for the baby to hear/recognize. 😳 Babies, man. Lol
