Grandparents bought my son a toy but of course he tries to take his aunt's and uncle's instead

Is it wrong of me to play nice with my soon to be ex husband just so he doesn't expect me to file for full custody?
Background info on my situation I was married for two years to a narcissist who stayed home all day played video games left our son in a play pen till I or someone else yelled at him to get our son. He was supposed to be a stay at home dad while I worked two jobs (he did nothing around the house) I left him 3 months ago and I also left the state we lived in to go home with our son....

I'm 9 month pp and lost all the baby weight so don't give up I hated myself for awhile and because if that I lost myself to depression
