Почему люди заводят детей, если не хотят ими заниматься?

I don’t understand why people have kids if they can’t do the bare minimum of decent parenting - making sure they brush their teeth, spending some time reading or doing homework, eating dinner together most nights, talking to their kids and taking interest in them as humans.

I see far too many parents making lame ass excuses as to why they should sit in their bedrooms all day while their children are running amok or are glued to screens. What’s the point of having kids if your version of parenting is the equivalent of mediocre pet ownership?

🗣️Parenting is a verb, y’all. 🗣️

(Disclaimer: This post does not reference people who are working multiple jobs and/or shift work and may be relying on family /childcare to help them out. Those folks may not have the privilege of being home most evenings. This is aimed directly at the people who have the time and straight up choose not to.)

What pisses me off when the child clearly needs extra help (therapy, IEP, etc) and the parents don’t give a shit…
Also being a complete asshole to them cause the parent is jealous of their own child.
Now I’m mad 😂😂😂

In my opinion it’s straight up neglect not to get your child the therapies and support they need.

Yesss! After school we work on homework together and then do chores together. If she wants to help with dinner, great but at that point she has earned her own time to do whatever. Thankful it is usually crafts. But we always eat dinner together 🩷 my mom made a point to eat dinner together as a family and I loved it. I make every effort to make it happen.

It's interesting that you say that parenting is a verb. I'm willing to bet that the type of "parent" that you have described doesn't even know what a verb is. Perhaps that's why they're lacking in this department.

My brother used to say this all of the time. Parent is not a title. And it is true. Just because you can make the babies does not make you an instant parent. This was before I had a child and questioned my mother’s parenting. Now I understand.

ever since my son was born id always spend my time with him even tho he didn't do much it was still nice and now he's 6 years old going to be 7 years old and I love and enjoy spending time with my son wether it's playing outside or inside on a rainy day and read , play with his toys I got him from birthdays to Christmas and going shopping for things we want or road trips in the car , movies, TV shows , art work and he helps me with making breakfast, lunch, dinner sometimes and he helps feed and water the cats and clean the cat box dishes with me and clean the bathroom pick up his things and put it where it goes and and we brush our teeth together and he's learning how to wash his hair and body and to dry his hair . And I have him brush his hair and he puts on his pants shirt , under and he reapts after me sometimes when I read next he will learn to sound it out and then say the whole world and I'm his learning coach for homeschooling and he got his report card for the 1st semester and he master all of his assignments that he has to do every day and he will be going into 1st grade and he does have hyperactivity attention deficit disorder Aka known as ADHD . But he's very smart .
To be honest I had wanted to be a mom since I was 16 years old and got told id probably never be able to have kids and I got my little boy like I wanted and we both almost lost both of our life's and we are very blessed to be alive so I'm cherishing every moment, month , year with my son like no tomorrow . My son saved my life in was he will never understand tell he's 18 years old
