Living this suburban lifestyle is hard 😭😭 only Natalie has friends that live in the neighborhood she just goes out to their homes or they walk to play at the school’s playground, she will walk home with her friend. I want her to have this experience and where we live is safe and out of the Main Street no heavy traffic flow. I’m here like my parents never let me go anywhere let alone at 8 years old 😂😂 but we lived in the city in New York lol.

I hate to be the Debby downer but I’ve seen too many documentaries on children disappearing and the one thing they always say is “ it was a small safe town”

Yesss! Scary. There were two stories on Disappeared where a 11 year old disappeared walking around one corner to her bus stop and another 9 year old leaving a bowling alley that was across the street from her grandmother's house. I'm just over protective and anxious cause so many weirdos everywhere you turn lol

Yeah I am the same, I always tell my husband my kids probably hate me for it now but they will thank me later. Just 40 minutes from here someone was riding around in a truck and grabbed a little girl getting mail for her mom only reason she is ok, is because she screamed so loud her mom came out and they let her go and drove off.

Girl! No hate, but idk how you do this. I live in a rural area, with a field behind my home way back from the road, that connects mine and my parents land and I won’t even let my 8 year old do that walk without one of his older siblings and the chances of something happening are slim to none, my anxiety can’t handle the what ifs in these situations. 😫

That is ME lol. My kids friends around here are all one to two streets away, one of them I can SEE them walk there from my back door and I’m still too freaked out to let them go alone. But it makes me feel like IM the weirdo bc literally EVERYONE around here seems to just let their kids roam free for hours. & they’re as young as 2nd grade! Riding their bikes around the entire neighborhood and what not.. I can’t do that. My kids all can walk TOGETHER with their sister who has a phone and tracking to only one friends house who I can SEE from my back door and she can see them too. So they all walk together as we watch.. other than that, they’re not aloud to be walking around or going random places all over the neighborhood or the park. Literally NOTHING has happened in this town in the last 25 years, but that doesn’t mean it can’t and I watch far too many documentaries and freaked myself out lol.

@momwifewitch, it really is . I literally can hardly handle them going to school bc BELIEVE if it was optional, my kids would never have gone 😭😂 they’d be home with me forever if I had it my way. Yall can get married and move them in here, why do you have to leave? 🥹🤣
