So she wants to first try to put me on Provera to stop the bleeding so I'm on it for like 5 or 6 days two pills a day. I haven't started it yet cuz I'm doing research on it cuz I'm scared to take hormone replacement crap. And then once it stops I could go on a birth control again which I'd rather not at 45 I've been on and off home for 20 years. Or I could get a ablation done which scares the crap out of me too. so my question is anyone here ever take Povera?
Yeah I hate waiting that long for appointments that's awful especially for dealing with something like this. She said my only options were the ablation, hormone replacement therapy, or just trying to low dose birth control. Yeah and I need to get checked for anemia again and all the labs around here don't have anything until the middle of December, imagine me waiting till December to see if I have low iron and then I die or pass out by then. I seriously been bleeding for 20 days now
I'm just worried about the side effects from it, there's so many. Says it can make my hair fall out, gain weight, acne and I already have tons of acne I don't need more lol
I took Provera to kickstart a period and ovulation when going through fertility struggles.
I did years ago to stop bleeding. But it was a temporary solution until I had surgery and then went on Mirena.
I have not, but following since I’m also going through similar issues. My doctor wouldn’t put me back on birth control and wants me to come in for an appointment to discuss options. Problem is, she doesn’t have any openings until February! I can’t wait that long with more disastrous unpredictable periods looming 😩
