I usually keep it around 68/69 during the day unless Temps are like at 0 or below, bump it up to 72. At night tho we lower it to 67/68 because our room gets sooo dryyyyy. We are looking into getting our ducts cleaned and installing a home humidifier system. Hoping that helps
We clean our ducts once a year and have always had whole house humidifiers it makes quite a difference especially with people that have asthma
@massgirl I'm hoping it helps too, I don't keep up with the plug in humidifiers so hoping the whole house one works great.
My house is pretty old. To get to "comfort levels" we have to put it on 75 especially if its below 0. I'm hoping we don't have a harsh winter this year. I also have to have a heater in my bathroom downstairs. It doesn't have a heating vent.
I know that feeling. That’s how my house is too, except it’s the baby’s room that doesn’t have the heater vent for some reason, so we have a wall heater in there.
I think like 66 during the day and 70 at night. It gets really expensive otherwise.
68 is the highest I’ll go (unless we’re having a very unusual freezing spell). But I try for 65 when no one is home or over night.

Depends how cold it is outside. Like winter that’s in the negatives is 73 or higher, lately it’s been in the 40s here so thermostat is 67.
I truly think temperatures feel different house to house.
Mine is currently set to 71°, but I was over at my sisters yesterday and hers was set to 69° and it felt way warmer .
Okay this makes sense. I have mine at like 67/68 my mom has hers at 72 but if I put mine at 72 it truly feels like 80 lol.
Agree with this! Definitely depends on the building materials , how old the house is, the area you live in. We have a income property that is made of brick. It stays really cool in the summer but is a bitch to heat in the winter.
Between 70 and 72 and the only reason that is is because our windows are super old and the cold air leaks through them. 69 or 70 at night. Me and my husband both like it cooler we don't like the heat. If it wasn't for the windows we probably have it at 67 or 68

65’😆. We get really hot and sleep with heavy blankets. But as temp drop really low then I put it at 68’. Daytime it is off for now. The house is at 72’-74’ naturally in the Fall times and that is nice for us.
Depending on the temperature outside (it can get pretty cold here in winter), usually between 72-74. We have a parakeet and cockatiel we keep it a little warmer for. We also have kerosene heaters we fire up on the really cold nights to help keep the energy bill lower.
