I had to have a talk with my 5th grader to not accept or eat anything from students or others because today at his school a student brought in edibles laced with fentanyl and some students overdosed. The school was placed on lockdown but I don’t know what else is going on. It’s so crazy that kids in these days will never be able to be as carefree as we were. Metal detectors in elementary, can’t trust other students with food or snacks. Can’t trust most of these parents either so my kids would never go to a sleep over.

This is so scary. We have been talking to B about this for a year now to never take food or candy from anyone not us or his grandparents and explained why. It's so sad that elementary school kids are not safe anymore
