Definitely try to find things locally. It costs quite a bit to ship things, so I doubt anyone would be willing to ship more than a box of clothes.

Shipping is wildly expensive. My mom shipped something small to my sister overnight and it was over $100 and arrived 2 days later. A lot of moms have things they would happily part with locally, they just want it to go to someone who really needs it and not someone who is going to try to sell it. I would definitely get on local groups, great suggestion

It would be a lot easier if you go to your local organizations to get free clothing. You can also get a free car seat at your closest firefighter/police department.
