So, does anyone know what signs of an addiction to instant release adderall (can’t spell the other word 🤣) looks like?? I’m asking because sadly, I think my moms addicted.
Like I thought I was addicted at one point just bc I was like, “so this is what it feels like to be normal” typa way but…I think that’s a normal feeling right? I don’t take more than what I’m supposed to.
Her on the other hand, she has asked me for some of mine, she even stole some of my sons and I’m like WTF!
I’m living with her so it’s kinda hard to cut ties, we have to find a place to go first. And I’m scared to even ask my dad bc I’d be humiliated, but only bc when he was younger, that’s how he made me feel when I was a 19 year old mom.
I’m asking what said behavior looks like because I’m worried about my mom. I feel like maybe she’s using it to cope with pain of having to face reality with she might have lung cancer.
Not sure if y’all remember me posting about that awhile back but, she never got rechecked (cat scan) no insurance and I begged her to just go to the er and ask for another catscan but she just won’t listen. She convinced she has all these other kinda problem which she could, but what’s the cause of those problems?
If she is stealing from other people, it’s addiction. Asking for some of yours if she runs out is one thing, she could’ve easily accidentally double dosed and ran out before the fill date. Hiding it tells you there’s a problem.
She’s my best friend I just hate seeing her this way. She’s so unhappy in life in general and it just sucks to see the woman u love and know is in there somewhere act so out of character and struggle so much
This. If she’s stealing then she definitely has an addiction.
@samneal, she’s your mom, and your children’s grandma. Enabling it won’t help, it will only get worse. It already has got worse when it went from asking for yours to stealing her grandsons medication. Idk what kind of relationship you have with your mom, but I’d advise trying to talk to her about it or calling her ass out to where she has the opportunity to talk about it.
I don’t have answers but have you tried googling your questions about addiction? I’m sure there is a lot of information available out there that would be a good starting point.
I have, I feel like it’s not specific enough. Because she has a lot on her plate and takes care of her parents first and I try to be a good Christian and sympathize but what she did tonight (took some of my sons meds) really pissed me off.
I’m really trying because all my life I feel like I should listen to her yada yada yada, but the sad part is I don’t think she will listen to me.
And she’s being soooo mean to my oldest who has adhd. Like look, I know he messed some shit up, he fessed up and has actually been really good lately but she made him cry today and as I was walking by I was like he’s telling the fucking truth! You can’t see that he’s crying so hard he’s almost hyperventilating?!!! Like really??
@samneal, yeah I would say she’s addicted if she’s stealing her grandsons meds.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.

If she's using the medication to cope, just get through the day to day, it's drug abuse. Stealing drugs, addiction looks like that too. One can only speculate, but I'd be concerned about her because of those 2 things
