My middle babe was diagnosed with strep about a week ago and we finished the course of antibiotics , this morning he woke up with a skyrocket fever, sore throat, inflamed tonsils. Could the strep infection just not have gone away??

Omg that's awful. Poor kid. It could be. I've seen it happen where it did not go away. My baby sitter has strep and my 7 year old has a sore throat and his right lymph node is freaking huge. I never seen anything like it.

I know that he still has it in the anabiotic’s didn’t do what it was supposed to do wear only five days off of anabiotic‘s, and it’s come back with a vengeance…
I feel like the last year or two years strep throat has gotten extremely crazy compared to like when I was a kid. You’re poor babe I hope he feels better 💜

She had it in March, then she just finished* antibiotics on the 13th of this month so this will be round 3 of going to the doctors 😭

thanks they sent this swab out to culture this time, and gave her a completely different antibiotic so fingers crossed it kicks this infection

We are dealing with the same thing right now, I am taking her back this afternoon to be looked at, it is very possible the strep he and is resistant to whatever antibiotics he had and may need a different course. It happened to my son a few years ago also.
