So, question. It’s just random and I been wondering about it probably because I’m in college for psychology.

Anyway.. You know when u try to avoid someone that you think yall could have potential with, just because us women are afraid of getting hurt again. Anyway, you get to know the guy and he’s actually an amazing person.

What the hell happens in our brains that make us feel butterflies or “falling in love” so to speak. I’m aware it’s lust, but what’s the point in it? Like how does one actually fall in love?

I think, human beings are social animals, we find others to "attach to," "build a pack," we don't want to be alone. I think the "falling in love" part is just a psychological thing, it makes us more likely to stay and build with those we have a strong and meaningful connection with.

It's just survival of the species, probably

The point is to multiply just like in the animal world. That's what I think that feeling is it's just a feeling that would be a good mate to mate with to have children with. The way I've always looked at it as that falling in love or being in love with somebody is the same exact thing kind of. But you can love a person in all different ways so that's what separates this. But trust me I've asked myself the same question you have so I know my answer is a little confusing cuz I'm still confused lol

If you’re in college for psychology this would probably be a great question to ask your professor.
