I have a question since me and my husband fight over the thermostat here lately. Is 69° too cold for the house when it's 34° outside? I say I want it 70 or 71. He says I'm nuts, 69 is fine. Also we live in a condo that's well over 20 years old and with the same windows and they're not sealed properly anymore and they let moisture in and cold air in so put that into factor. He says putting it up a degree or two won't make a difference but I've noticed it does make a difference especially when I get out of the shower in the morning I'm freezing or going to bed at night
During the winter no matter where u live u should make sure the heat is up . I have the heat on
Oh man that's just too hot. But in this old condo you'd probably barely feel it at 75 lol
I live in an old home it's 73 during the day and 70 at night
I think that's why we do 73. Our house is 112 years old and if you factor in our drafts it's probably in the high 60s in here if the heat is on 73.
Ours is set at 68° even when it’s below zero outside.
We keep it at 64-68. Mostly 66 during the day. Some days I cave and turn it to 70 but it has to be super windy out. Otherwise 66
I think 69 is chilly. Ours is at 72.
Would it help/be possible to do the plastic over the windows (comes in a kit, you know what I’m talking about?)? We did that at a rental and I think it helped stop the draft.
Yeah I know what you're talking about. I just like to have my windows open and be able to look out my windows and my kids would probably pull it off anyway. I feel too trapped in this tiny condo if I can't look out the windows in the daytime
@ladyfreyja, I don’t blame you. 🌁 We did it in the bedrooms. Come to think of it, I should do it in our bedrooms this year. 🤔 Our windows aren’t great.
We usually keep the heat set on 67° here lately, but we’ve been sweating at night so we’ve started bumping it down to 65°.
Get yourself an outside thermometer to hang in your condo so you know the true temperature with the drafts & adjust accordingly.
Ok so I'm not crazy. Lol. Look Id rather be cold then hot, but like I said our windows suck. Rather sleep cold too. I don't like it above 70 or 71. But you can literally feel the cold air near the windows. The point is most of the heat is getting sucked out those windows.
You should get those plastic window sealers. They are super cheap and super effective for keeping drafts out. You can even get pads for under doors. If you have drafts, the furnace will just work harder and def doesn’t make a difference between 69-71 degrees.
@ladyfreyja, Oh wow! That sounds way worse than mine are!
@llamapantaloons yeah I'm constantly wiping our Windows every morning I wake up there's water all over the place
We keep it at 72-74, but that’s mainly because we have birds.
I sleep in cold temperature or I will have nightmares. 😟 between 62’-68’
I keep ours set to 68 😬 and my room is over the garage so it really feels like 62-64 … and I love it
69 is too cold, I would have sinus issues. The difference in the bill isn't enough to freeze all winter. Ours is on 73.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
i finally let him do it
I finally let DF throw away my foundations. He says I look better without it. He said he hates seeing me cover my face with make up when I can just wear mascara and eyeliner. He says it makes me look fake and he said he's not saying it to be mean, hes saying it because he cares. Im glad he's real with me. He says I have natural beauty. He says he doesn't like it when I dye my hair or wear make up because he loves my natural beauty. I know some girls feel as though that t...
My boyfriend thinks I'm pushing him away when I'm just pregnant and emotional why can't men understand that? he says I make him out to be a bad guy when I don't and he says I yell at him when I don't. I'm crying because I'm over emotional and he says I ruined his day like I'm sorry but you honestly don't understand

Okay seen this post on Facebook and I reposted is saying "it should be your husband first but most women would say the child" two women responded very negatively like "it is your child first smh" and "what is his hands broken he should fix his own plate" but I'm a Christian and in the Bible says your husband comes first then the children no I'm not talking about a boyfriend nothing I'm saying a husband when he gets off work he should be the first one to receive that hotmail he's been at work all...
He puts the ac on last night while we are sleeping then after a while I get up freezing and almost peeing on myself. I pee and cover with the blanket. Then he gets up and checks baby diaper which is very full since he put the ac on and tries to change it ofcourse baby starts to cry he is too slow and woke baby up. She already has a cough and I put the humidifier on before bed for baby. She starts coughing so I go run into the kitchen to get her some water without my glasses I'm blind. I bring th...
During the day we keep ours at 68 degrees. The kids aren’t home and we just put on a sweater. At night we have it at 69-70. We live in Idaho so it’s definitely cold outside. I feel like anything above 70 is a little too much.
