Advice on kiddos they are sick negative for flu and covid but have fevers and a real nasty cough that just won’t subside I’ve done the humidifier, warm baths with the cold and runny nose bath soap. Is there anything else I can do? I just got saline mist, children’s Vicks. I saw hylands natural kids cold and cough relief but have mix reviews on it. It’s day 4-6 and still not letting up fully I’m exhausted

Ugh this sounds like RSV and I’m sorry! Try using honey for cough on everyone except the baby. Is your humidifier a cool mist one?

@mommakaylax3, also Tylenol/motrin every 4 hours. Alternate through one day then give them a break to see if fever is still there

yes I’ve been doing this. Finally my 2 and 5 year olds are under 100 today the first day it got up to 103.6 🫣 I was like omg what is happening. Now baby he’s been staying under 100 so far thank god!

Ugh girl I’m sorry. We have covid over here but it doesn’t sound that bad.
Is there a natural shop in ur town? I got natural Vicks vapor rub and omg it’s amazing

Hylands is good I used it for the baby it took her cough away

We’ve used Hylands. It’s not perfect, but it helped calm the coughs enough for the kiddos to fall asleep. It tastes less mediciney, so my oldest who has sensory struggles is more likely to take it than the stronger/more effective meds he could take.

Did they test her? They won’t test for it at my kids Dr unless they are super sick like need to go to the er sick

yes. She was tested for the flu,Covid,strep and RSV it’s just a swab in the nose like the Covid test. She was sick with a cough a sore throat and a nasty cough and a fever for 3 days.
