Okay moms I need some input. My daughter’s school closed last Wednesday due to sickness. She developed a head cold around Saturday. She had a temp of 99-100. She still has a lingering cough and a little nasal congestion but no fever since around 7pm yesterday. Her only complaint today was a headache but she had quite a bit of junk coming from her nose so idk if maybe it was sinus pressure. Her first day back to school is tomorrow. Do I send her or keep her home? Idk how long colds are contagious and I definitely don’t want to send her and make other kiddos sick. I’m a stay at home mom so it’s no issue at all to keep her home on my end I just know she’s prepped and ready lol.
@momgroupreject, @thawkins, @humblewarriormama, thanks y’all! This is the first night that she’s really got good rest without coughing her head off so I’m hoping we’re on the mend of it! Poor kiddo can’t seem to catch a break this year!
Ugh I hope she continues to improve! I bet she’ll be well rested and ready to tackle her first day back tomorrow!
Never hurts to keep a kiddo home an extra day. Hope the sinus gunk continues to drain and her head feels better!
Strep and Flu A! We haven’t been tested for Covid I didn’t even think of that since she acted fine 🤦🏻♀️ she’s now been fever free for over 24 hours.
I would keep her home. You can get a swab done for all the respiratory illnesses including Covid. My son tested positive for flu A over 7 days after being exposed.
Due to sickness? Like Covid or….? Have you tested for Covid? Has she been fever free for less than 24 hours (a true fever being 100.4° or higher)
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...

A Statement from Mom.Life:
Hey everyone!
Last night, a new user began messaging our moms asking for private pictures of toddlers and young children. This is obviously unacceptable behavior, and the account was banned immediately. Although thankfully extremely rare on Mom.Life, several users were understandably upset by this, so we wanted to clarify a few things:
First off, Mom.Life has an absolute zero tolerance policy for child abuse and those who would prey on children. We strive to ...

Kids are gonna get sick regardless if you keep her home or not due to other kids being sick and lack of proper personal hygiene in young children lol. My kids as well have been hit with the cold that has been circulating and unless they are throwing up or have a bad fever they would still go to school.
