Never noticed any sleep regressions with Emie but oh my god the 9 month one has hit us hard. Ive also moved her into a cot in her own room so every time she wakes she screams the place down and im not quite sure how to get her to get used to it 😩 i was up 4 times last night all for an hour each trying to resettle her in her room all for us both to fall asleep in my bed this morning at 7am until 9 as we were both shattered.
I didnt have all this with tommy as he didnt go in his own room until he was 2. Please tell me it gets easier 😭
Yeah this is what i was worried about because i left it until tommy was 2 to move him it was really hard! Ive heard its supposed to be easier to do it when their babies but i feel awful about it 😩😂 xx
When I moved Theo and he would wake at night I wouldn't try to settle him as such. I'd walk in and say something like "it's ok, mam's here" sit next to his cot with my arm in there and I wouldn't say a word, or even look at him really. He'd settle back down much faster than if I'd talk or try to comfort him.
It took him a couple of nights to realise what was happening, but once he picked it up he'd be back to sleep within five minutes :)
It does get easier with age too! Good luck x
Yeah ive been doing this but literally as soon as i walk back out of the room again she starts screaming 😩 some part of me thinks maybe ive done it too soon as she is still so little afterall xx
It does get easier!! We've just come out the other side of it thankfully.
I ended up having to leave her to cry in the end. I just went in lay her back down, turn her mobile back on, shh her, say night and leave. And left it longer intervals inbetween before going back in. It was rough..
Some may not agree with this method but it worked for us.. I'd exhausted all other avenues and she was so reliant on falling asleep on me, I had to ensure now matter how hard I didn't pick her back up out of the cot.
I can now put her into bed (aslong as she's tired enough) and she lies down and goes straight to sleep.
It literally seems never ending though doesn't it 😅
Oh god i hope so lovely! Emie is still fighting it i swear she just hates that room 😂 the silly thing is she can still even see my bed from where she is in her room and she still isnt happy! Xx

My August baby decided she wanted to be a May baby like her big sister. Madison Noelle was born on Tuesday, May 24 at 3:50pm, weighing 2lbs, 13oz and 14". She was born at 27 weeks and has a long road ahead of her. Every day she has been getting stronger and amazing everyone. Please keep us in your prayers, my family and I have a long road ahead of us. Congratulations to everyone and I wish you all wonderful pregnancies and deliveries! ??❤️
My doctor said he would induce my labor at 38 weeks, if my baby girl still had growth issues and if the percentile dropped to 10 or less. Last thursday, it was 10 percentile, and he said if she didn't come on her own by 38 weeks, he would induce labor at that time. I'm 36 weeks 1 day today, he said my cervix was super thin, and 1cm dilated. Is there a possibility this can change... that my doctor will let her just come on her own? I don't want to be induced, i would much rather her come on her ...
So girls I'm kinda stressing out a little... so my man's bestie (girl) is moving back here... she's living in our house for only 2 months or less just until my man gets the garage converted to a little apartment.. she is 42 and is a complete and utter slob! Like she leaves all her nasty used tissues everywhere. She wants to start moving all her shit back here this week which all her shit has to go into the baby's room which means now we have to stop working on the baby's room and work in the gar...
As somebody who’s 6 year old has only just started to go to bed on his own (as in, not needing someone to lay with him until he falls asleep) 3 weeks ago, just stick at it and DONT give up. Worst thing I ever did with Charlie was give in because I was too tired after battling with him. Yes it’s hard, yes you get exhausted but it does get easier I promise. And believe me, it’ll be much easier to ride it out now than do something about habits years down the line like me when they are much more defiant, mouthy and generally harder to put into shape 🤣
