What Just Happened? A Kind Gesture or Something More?

Question : there is a nice man i see in my bulding cleaning mopping and he looked so kind. He looks 27 or 30 not too tall and has really nice eyes and curly hair. He never really talks much just always doing his cleaning. I also saw him outside my building and he always see me go drop my child in school and come back with my other child in the stroller while she sleep. He always somehow stood by the door opening it for me and i say thank you. There where times i asked for his help and many times he would go out of his way to get the elevator for me. Today he was with other coworkers in a huddle he smiled and said something i didnt hear so i leaned forward and heard him loud and clear in my ear "i like you" then i looked at him and said "aww thank you" and kept going......now what 🤔what did just happen ?
