Что сказал педиатр о развитии Мэйсона?
Just got off the phone with the developmental pediatrician for mason and my heart just can’t take it. That was the hardest appointments I have ever had to learn that there was no regression with mason that from an early age he was never developing how a child his age should have. He said that it looks like mason does have a language disability that if he had to put a label it may be more Specific Language Impairment that it may be link with autism but he isn’t ready to make that diagnosis because mason does not show any other symptoms that can be diagnosed with autism. Mason language and communication development he said was comparable to that of a 3 year old and other skills to a 5 year old. Mason right now does have an amazing team in and out of school and I just pray that as he gets older he will continue to receive all the helps he needs. I’m grateful that this was a virtual appointment not it person. I am one big emotional wreck trying to wrap my head around it all.

My heart goes out to you today, hon. This is the darkest day where they give it to you straight and you grieve. But I know you've got a great team together who are going to help him immensely. I'm always a message away.

My son has delayed speech, he tries talking but his words are jumbled together. He has a full evaluation tomorrow to see if he qualifies for PT, OT and the day program they have where he takes his speech classes, so we will know more then. He doesn't have any other signs of autism other than his speech but we want to make sure everything else is ok with him. He dresses himself and feeds himself, also does activities and builds/fixes things with his dad. He isn't potty trained yet but has been pooping in his potty the past two weeks. He does throw fits with me if I don't do what he wants but completely behaves and minds for his dad.
I am praying for you both❤️🙏

Early intervention is the most beneficial, my mason also had issues with potty training urinating he was able to master that by 4 but bowel movements were hard he was fully potty trained a week before his 5th birthday and that was with bribes lol it took M&M’s. My son with self care he is doing everything he should at his age, it’s just his developmental language that has him behind as well in school he’s in 3rd grade but academically at a 1st grade level.

@latinamomof3 yes mam! I got the referral a little after he turned 3 & we've been doing speech for about 4-5 months now. Will pretty much has potty trained himself on the pooping, he just isn't interested in peeing in the potty much, don't get me wrong, he will pee in the potty on his own atleast 3-4 times a week with no bribes or anything you. I'm hoping he starts trying more, soon. Will brushes his teeth, hair, washes his hands, bathes himself etc.

Thank you so much everyone for your kind words. What made this all hard was having to think back at the things your child would do that you didn’t think twice would be a concern or a sign. For me it does sort of feel like I’m grieving and it’s no one’s fault and it’s not like the pediatrician purposely meant to do this but it feel like the memories of my baby boy are tainted.
