You hadn't eaten yet and it was bile. Yes, this can be normal. Stick to the BRAT diet and hydrate as much as you can. Water is your best friend even if it comes back up. I can usually keep down sparkling water even if normal still water makes me nauseous. Tums, ginger tea for the win also.
