Chronically late people are disrespectful?
Here’s my (probably) unpopular opinion:
People who are chronically late to everything drive me crazy. I completely understand that it happens.. but the people who make it a personality trait, like “omg you know me! I’m never on time!” drive me insane. It’s not cute, it’s extremely disrespectful. Like, why is my time less important than yours?

Some of us have ADHD, OCD or in my case both, and it's quite literally something we CAN'T help. I legitimately try EVERY day. I get up before 4 every damn mornin and STILL will be late for a 9 am meeting! EVERY freakin time. My brain just doesn't construct time like a neurotypical person.
There is NOTHING more infuriating for me than someone saying "just get up earlier". 🙄 First, I don't think I CAN get up any damn earlier and TWO, having MORE time in the morning will only lead to me finding MORE things to do, making me MORE late.
A normal person will think hmmm, I got 10 minutes, I'm gonna eat real quick grab something and go.
I notice I have 10 minutes and think ooooh,, I'll make a poptart! I go to get the toaster outta the cabinet but when bending down notice the cats need food, go to get that and see the boys left their late night snack wrappers out, grab those, oh the trash needs to go out, reach under the cabinet for another trash bag, crap we're out, I better make a grocery list real fast, we need milk, bread, cereal, poptarts....oh YEAH, I wanted to eat a poptart....oh SHIT, WHAT TIME IS IT??!! We GOTTA go!! 🤯
Or something VERY similar EVERY day!
TRUST and BELIEVE it's JUST as frustrating for me and a HUGE insecurity that I just CAN'T ever "get it right", ESPECIALLY when such a deep seeded perfectionist. It's torturous. We don't wanna be this way, I PROMISE. I'll LITERALLY not sleep at night worryin over what or how that person felt by my bring late.
I WISH I could "just be on time" to avoid all that. 🥺
