Why does heartbreak grief come in waves. We had been together 17 years, married 10. Then at end Aug/early sept we decided to separate and see how it goes. We said we would give it 6 months. He was planning to rent somewhere temporarily. He hasn’t moved out yet but I feel the gap get bigger daily. He seems to be doing so well and I feel like I’m either an emotional wreck or I go psycho and lose it. I have spells of feeling ok and feeling strong. And then another wave comes. Any advice?

Its okay to fall apart when you thought you had it all under control an its okay if you thought you were over it but it hits you all over again. Grieving for someone whos alive is hard but in your case you haven't been able to accept it if hes still there maybe when he does move out you will find yourself again and the new you without him. Keep being strong you will get there and your also stronger than you think. Be honest with yourself. 🥰 x

Welcome to my world, I on the same boat ad you are. Been together 6 years, been married 5 and half years. We broke up for a month last year but the git back together, now we broke up again he moved to his mum and blocked me from everywhere even tho we have two kids together. I did got drunk and cried for one evening to.let it out and now I feel much better I came to.see my family for a week with the kids and I am looking for a property around here so I move from London and start a new life here, new memories and etc...just try to stay strong for kids, think about the positive sides. Its hard now but I know with time it will get much easier and easier and finally you will get to the point of where you will be very happy. 🥰
