Enjoying some fun in the sun ☀️
Don’t come for me about him not wearing a life jacket. I don’t want to hear it. He was fine 🙄
Cute pic....I can’t believe how many comments this got 🙄 we took our kids out in rubber boats this weekend and it was so fun!!
Looks like fun!! I took my little guy out on a raft too. He was totally fine.
Honestly. Who gives a rats fucking ass what some strangers on the internet have to say!! Excuse my language but Holy Fuck ladies. There are people leaving children in hot cars to die. There are heroin addicts shooting up while their babies are beside them (no offence but there are mothers unable to buy basic food staples) Yet everytime this chick post a water picture it’s like attack of the apes. This mom is clearly living the life! She’s at her family cottage, she’s enjoying the water with her family and her Canada Day weekend WITH A HAPPY BABY!! Jealous? Back off the negative comments.
@maddoxsmama this looks like a fun day:) I'm embarrassed to be part of this community today...
@lii94 the difference is the depth of the water and the current or lack there of. Baby goes under in the bath, you have a bottom that is easily reachable and clearly visible baby falls in the water in a pond, lake, river, ect.... without a life jacket or flotation device, they are going to the bottom of water that is no telling how deep, probably cloudy and with limited visability, and hopefully no current to drag them away. You can't say they are the same and you could easily just grab a baby in both situations. Yes they can drown in either. But one is more dangerous than the other with more factors to consider.
@pettybetty, I don’t have a “it won’t happen to me” attitude. I was in shallow water where I literally could have stood up. I had my husband right beside me and I had a death grip on my child. We weren’t doing anything reckless. Everyone needs to stop commenting on this.
A good friend of mine is regretting a decision she made on the worst day of her life, every day.... and will continue to every day until she dies. I hope you wake up and get that "it won't happen to me" attitude out of your head because it can happen and there are things you can do to prevent tragedy. It's not about parenting styles, it's about having the information and refusing to use it.
Everyone saying a bathtub is not to compare to a lake. Lol fuck yall. I was giving Clark a bath, literally ontop of him, he decided to try and roll and splashed himself in the face and swallowed a bunch of water.
He is perfectly fine but he could've easily drowned, and i was right there. Watching him. Washing his feet.
There are dangers everywhere. Do i still give him a bath? Yes. Does he still love bath time? Yes.
Lake or bath life jacket or not they can drown. 🤷 shes having a good Canada day. Let them live jesus christ.
@mckallalynn.., if you tell her one more time maybe she’ll finally hear you.
You beat that horse mmmkkkkk.
@maddoxsmama @mommy1991 I have three biological children ages 20yr old to an almost 2yr old.. My son is home from college 😀.. Nevertheless I know you both will be great parents as the road is long and you will continue to learn and grow. Parenting isn't easy but do what's best for your children and enjoy life. GOD when I had my first child, they doctors told everything opposite to what I was told last pregnancy and with my middle on too 😂. Just do you ladies and be the best mom for your child you can be 😘. I'm still learning and growing as a mother and loving every minute of it.
@lex_6 when countless people tell you it's not safe and you say "I parent different" don't expect pitty when or if something happens to your child because of your bad decisions. Sorry not sorry. Idc if that makes me a bitch. A babies safety should be number one priority in every parents life.
@blakeslatinmama It's ridiculous that you think everything is just gonna go by so smoothly and easily. Like I said. We'll see.
@catlikethief again trying to share memories. Not get a rise out of people. But anyway
@maddoxsmama your a brick wall who wont listen on what's safe for your son. 🤷🏻
@blakeslatinmama do you think your child is gonna stay in that seat when they're older and able to stand and walk around freely? Hahaha good luck.
@maddoxsmama, hmmm, well you said you felt sorry for someone's kids because they were afraid of all the what-ifs...
I've tagged @maddoxsmama @mommy1991 as my text are directed solely at these two ppl on particular 🤔I don't know how I keep getting tagged by ppl that aren't these two for some strange reason. 🙄 lol 😂 😂 😂 my oh my
@mommy1991, she makes it people's business when she posts it to a public forum
Don't come looking for pity if your child drowns and dies. Ok? Have a great night.
@starting_over39 they've already happened an hour ago! So pretty!
@catlikethief, I do. And I felt comfortable with him not having his life jacket on in that situation. Because I had him.
@catlikethief the point is it shouldn't be happening because it's no ones business. Appreciate the picture and worry about your own kids man. Is it hurting you or someone you love? No. So get past it.
@maddoxsmama, they didn't say anything because it's awkward if you actually know the person 😏 and as a mother, shouldn't you be afraid of all the what-ifs??? Shouldn't you try to think of every possible scenario and how it could potentially endanger your child?
@starting_over39 I just feel like people should just be parents to their own kids and not worry what everyone else is doing. People are way too judgy. My mom used to lay down on the floor in the back seat of the car because there were no more places to sit and that was legal!! Like everyone needs to chill haha but I hope you guys are having a good canada day! 😂
@mckallalynn.., enjoying a day at the lake with family? Yea poor kid..
@maddoxsmama I feel sorry for your son for all the dangerous situations you'll put him in.
@mckallalynn.., I feel sorry for your child who’s going to live in a bubble because your afraid of all the what if’s. Enjoy life!
@blakeslatinmama and every time you give your baby a bath put her in danger just to get her clean because that makes more sense than making memories with your family?
@catlikethief, I posted that photo on my personal Facebook and Instagram and not one persons made a comment about safety. Because they all know me and trust my judgment.
My advice to @maddoxsmama @mommy1991 don't waste you manicure 💅 lol.. Happy Canada 🍁 day ladies!! Have fireworks started near you yet?
@mommy1991, she's posting a photo of an obviously dangerous situation. She knew it would be controversial, hence the disclaimer. If she truly wanted to avoid drama and not hear anyone's concerns, she could have just posted the second photo and left the first for her own personal social media. This is a forum of mothers, obviously there would be comments about an infant not wearing a life jacket when one was needed.
I'm just saying she knew this would happen so 🤷♀️
@mommy1991 when it comes to life or death. Negative. I use my brain and think "hmm could this potentially kill my child"
@mommy1991 don't waste your energy but it is somewhat entertaining lol.. Drama seekers.. They need to stir the pot or it wouldn't be another day on momlife 😂 been here too long.. Seen it all and some 😳
@mckallalynn.., your joking right? I WAS HOLDING THE BABY IN THEIGH HIGH WATER WITH MY HUSBAND RIGHT BESIDE ME AND MY PARENTS ON THE DOCK 5 FEET AWAY. literally nobody was in danger
@mckallalynn.. I'm sure you've done some dangerous life threatening things by accident with your child and if you haven't you will. Because sometimes humans are stupid. Even you.
@mckallalynn.., first off I’m not stupid. I’m a very educated woman. Maddox was totally fine.
@blakeslatinmama It's not. Do you know how many kids have died drowning in the bathtub by accident? It's the same thing
@mommy1991 no one else is stupid enough to do this. And if they are you can bet your ass I'll comment telling them it's wrong too.
@catlikethief everyone else can sbare photos of the good times they've had with their kids. Why can't she? It's a nice day and she's with her child in probably water that comes up to her thighs. With another person so she's not alone. It's a cute picture. And I'm happy I got to see it.
@sparklingjewels This is the most random, specific, paranoid comment I've seen so far in the comment argument.
@blakeslatinmama, lmao actually you did. But whatever 🤷🏼♀️
I wasn’t gonna comment on this post because I know whatever I say y’all already mentioned and the OP doesn’t seem to care but anyways @starting_over39, I think @blakeslatinmama, has lots of sex. So it’s not sexual frustration btw
@blakeslatinmama, almost as ridiculous as you attacking me for this. I refuse to force my son to live in a bubble because I’m afraid of the world.
@blakeslatinmama hey Miriam Webster you got blocked. And apparently you need dick. Tell Chuck to get busy.
@mimixtmn, I’m sorry that happened to them.
This is a different situation though. So please stop commenting on my post.
A close friend of mine while I was growing up had her little brother die from drowning due to her parents poor choices like this, it takes a split second and it happened and her whole family drastically changed after this event her and her other siblings were immediately placed in foster homes and their parents who were perfectly normal ended up on drugs and never got their children back, my friend got lost in the system passed from house to house so I really don’t see this as just a different parenting style it’s careless and effects lives.
@maddoxsmama you only disagree because your the one doing dangerous shit with your 7 month old
@mckallalynn.., I disagree. He was perfectly fine. Do you put your child in a life jacket when he has a bath? Your should probably start 🙄
@maddoxsmama I didn't call you a bad parent, I'd never do that. I said that's bad parenting meaning you made a very poor choice that could've easily put your child's life in jeopardy.
@mckallalynn.., don’t ever call me a bad parent. I’m sure you do things with your child I wouldn’t do with mine but I’d never tell another mom she’s a bad parent.
@mimixtmn, I shared a picture of my little family enjoying the day. I put a disclaimer because last time I posted a picture of him in a docked boat I had so many people come for me about what if the boat spontaneously sunk 🙄🙄 it’s ridiculous. A protective mother but I was totally fine with him sitting on that floatie with me. If you weren’t okay with your child doing that that’s fine. But don’t come for me because my parenting is different than yours.
If you don’t want the comments you should really just stop posting pics of your child in the water or in a boat without a life jacket, if you want to be careless keep it to yourself don’t broadcast it to the world and say but don’t comment. This post is literally fishing for drama.
You were obviously aware you'd get this reaction, so why even post it in the first place?
I wish there were additional emotions other than “like” for someone’s comments. Why can’t we laugh? Be sad? Roll our eyes?
@maddoxsmama, hmmm well bye! Have fun snuggling your hubby. We’ll be here chatting about water safety while you’re gone 🙌🏼
@sparklingjewels, good for you. I’d rather spend my evening snuggled up to my hubby than bickering with some lonely girl with nothing better to do with her life 🤷🏼♀️
I mean right now my children are asleep so I’ve got some time 🙂
@sparklingjewels, why don’t you just mind your own children? I’ll mind mine.
Yeaaa... but the real question is why not? Like why not put a life jacket on your kid? Please give me the reasons because I bet the list of why not is shorter than the list of what if...
@sparklingjewels, you can play the what if game for everything.
But what if he fell in and you couldn’t figure out where he was to pull him back up because lake water is so dark and murky?
And put helmets on their kids when they are walking cause you know they can fall and get brain damage. Ohh they just might as well get the whole hockey protection gear
@mckallalynn.., again...he’s fine. If something happened to the float I would’ve just stood up. And I had a death grip on him. I would’ve drowned myself before I let anything happen to him.
Omg just block the ones who start bashing.. Especially after you clearly stated you know he doesnt have a life jacket and your aware of it. He can drown in a tub so they need to keep an life jacket on their kids in the bathtub and in the snow and rain while their at it ☔🛁❄️😂. Y'all look like your enjoying Canada 🍁 day 😉
I feel like disclaimers are really people just looking for the comments. Why post the pic then?
@maddoxsmama it takes a teaspoon of water in the lungs to drown. Regardless it was very careless of you.
@mckallalynn.., seriously 😒
Don’t talk unless you know the situation. The water isn’t deep.
I can’t say this is a no no cause I used to do this with my daughter before she was old enough to really move a lot. Plus we were close to the beach. So i could stand. Now if you were wayyy out there I’d say dude put a jacket on that kid. Otherwise 🤷🏼♀️
I miss the lake so much. It was my happy place!
Y’all look just as happy!
Yeah sure he's fine but he wouldn't of been fine if something happened to that float.

My husband and I aren’t exactly strangers when it comes to relationship challenges 💞. We have been together for 14 years and married for eight, so we’ve definitely gone through some growing pains as we navigated a long-distance relationship in college and our first year living together as a married 👫 couple.
But nothing has challenged our relationship quite like our first year as 👪 parents .

Push presents are stupid, and women who expect “push presents” from their SO’s are even more stupid. You’re giving life to a human being for Pete’s sake! You don’t need a damn present for something your body is made to do. 🤦🏻♀️
There, I said it. 🤷🏻♀️
@itsamemario, you deleted your post before I could hit send but this is my comment: I don’t know if this answers your question but this is my answer.
My son is 7 and he knows race and color. Why? Because he himself comes from a family that is multi racial and because he has already experienced racism. I also believe as his mother it’s my job to teach him color and the cold hard truth about society. He knows what’s going on in this world. I’d be hurting him if I allowed him to blindly walk out...

Happy Saturday Ladies,
Our first Baby Registry Gift Exchange was a huge success and we wanted to see if there was interest in starting a new one. Like a “Secret Santa” game for Preggies, everyone who participated was given a secret member to gift from their registry. We made the matches and provided the details.
If you are interested, please leave your name in the comments. If you’ve already had your baby or don’t have a registry, you can still play, just give us some ideas on what gift you’d li...
I don’t get why people feel the need to change their usernames or make a whole new account on here just because they can’t handle the backlash buuuut you had no issue starting the problem 🤔. Then try to be low as if we don’t know who you are.... FYI 90% of us have user notes on everyones’ accounts & screenshots that will never disappear oh & half of y’all give yourself away anyways on your NEW accounts 😬
