Can anyone help? My little boy is 3 yrs old and he started nursery this September full time at school. He is able to wee in the toilet independently but after lunch times he tends to poo in his pants at school. It has happened 3 days in a row and they are saying they don't have enough staff to deal with him and that he should go half time. I am so upset because I feel the school should work with him rather than exclude him if that makes sense. Can anyone suggest anything that I can do to help him? I talk to him, I praise him, I explain to him, I give him rewards but it is still a bit of a struggle. Thank you xxxx

I think it's disgusting that they've suggested he go half time just because he's having accidents. Knowing Chelseas nursery they would just do all they could to accommodate her and work with her to resolve it, certainly not cut down her time there. I mean honestly, how long does it take to clean him up and change him. Not long at all and yes nurseries do get busy but at the end of the day their job is to take care of your child (toileting/cleaning up accidents inc). Some children take longer with certain things but can be quicker at learning others 🤷♀️ I would of thought a nursery would be aware of that main point when caring for children. Once your little boy has managed it once it will become habit. I say give things time and continue doing all you've been doing with encouragement etc The nursery need to pipe down and stop being so rude and actually help your little boy. Sorry I couldn't be much help xx
