Do y’all let your husbands cook sometime? Can he throw down? What do the kids think about his cooking vs your cooking? My husband made some very very very salty chili last night. It was ok with sour cream smothered on top and cheese. Kids couldn’t eat it though. Lol
Yup. My husband is an awesome cook. He's as good or better than I am
My husband cooks on the bbq and spit. Indoor cooking I do, he can cook but works to late and doesn't really enjoy cooking where's I love it
Yes! He cooked last night and has been doing most since the baby came. I actually learned some dishes from him and I still think he makes them better! The kids enjoy his cooking too! We take turns on the weekends.
My husbands cooks once in a blue moon. Shit he taught me how to make certain things
I’m glad his mother taught him how to cook because some men can’t even fry an egg to save their life.
My husband does all the cooking. He’s a chef so he’s much better than I am. I don’t like cooking and can only make a few meals anyway. If I’m in charge of dinner, we eat out or order in.
Yes he can cook, but he loves mainly making breakfast meals. I am the chef of the home and always want to make meals.
He makes great steaks and sushi.
I wish mine would cook more. He very rarely cooks but when he does, oh boy!!! Super amazing and he is cleaner in the kitchen than I am bc he is severely ocd. He uses one pan and takes forever... But he is super clean and I may cook faster, and equally as well, but I am messier and don't care bc I am the one who cleans it up. And yes, we ALL like it and I know I am blessed. But I cook 95%(+) of the time. Sorry the chil was salty. Tell him to make the same without the salt and let everyone salt their own.
Nope. My husband seems to have a heavy hand when he seasons anything lmao so I do all the cooking.
Uggh my husband is SUCH a great cook. I'm pretty good myself but he can whip up something without a recipe and it is always phenomenal. He cooks very rarely but I love it when he does. Only downside is he uses a million dishes. But the food is always fantastic!
My husband does 98% of the cooking. I suck at it. 😂🙈 I can bake, though!
Our kids prefer my cooking. He just doesn’t cook with his heart and soul and you can taste it 😂😂😂
Yup. My husband is an awesome cook. He's as good or better than I am
My husband's idea of cooking is going out to eat. 😂
@riasm85, Days I don't feel like cooking I'm always like it's your turn to cook so he's like okay where we eating? 😂
@scream.queen, this is me and my husband but in reverse. He does the cooking so when he doesn’t want to, i ask where he’d like to go. 😂
He does most of the cooking. I am not that great at cooking 😬.
Sometimes he cooks usually it’s good. Sometimes he has put too much salt or it’s too spicy but other then that if he offers I let him cook. Lol
He’s a chef so he does most of the cooking whether it be at home or at his job and he brings it.
Eating restaurant quality food everyday at home!? I could get used to that.
Not really. He makes pancakes every weekend WHICH I HATE!!! There’s always a huge mess I wake up too that he never cleans until I start screaming 🙄 he grills like twice a year which I just banned him from doing. Mf forgot to take in the grilling tools/ seasonings. He maybe does oven/stove once a year🤣🤣 it’s never bad tho.
So do you mean cook or make a huge mess and wreck things? 🙄😂🙄
Lol have you thought about buying a pancake or waffle maker? Knowing men though even with the waffle/pancake maker they’d still find a way to make a huge mess and use 10 pots and pans. 😂
@alicianoelle32, NO cause he doesn’t know how to pour everything into a bowl to mix without getting it on the counters 🙄 even though he could just use a damn baby wipe to clean it and I’d be happy. Plus that’s something else I’d have to scrub down with the pancake maker
He can cook just doesn’t most of the time since he works 12 hour days. He can grill as well
I hate when my husband cooks cause he uses 17 pots, pans & utensils for a simple meal....how, I don't fckn know but it irritates my soul lol. He can't make anything too complex unless I write a recipe step by step and ain't no one got time for that 😂 He's okay with making breakfast tho once in a while, I'll give him that lol
@madrex3 right, like it better worth the mess, like chef Ramsey good dammit lol. Good thing I LOVE cooking lol
@ksmommyx3, my s.o does cook really good so I’ll allow it and then have my daughter clean up after her father 🤣🤣
My husband can follow a recipe great. And it always turns out wonderful. And he grills any weekend he can & he’ll do the whole dinners for the weekends too. He’s great at breakfast foods too. I thought he was a lost cause when we first got together but he’s really improved & turned out being really good at it. I am grateful too! Lol
I’m gonna try writing down recipes for him to follow because I’d love a break. Are these recipes you find online or some you wrote down for him to follow?
@alicianoelle32, both!! If I find one online that I like but I’ve modified, I’ll rewrite it out. But I have a whole binder of recipes I use/like & I’ll just tell him to look in the binder until he find such & such recipe & make that. Lol
See, the thing is..he cooks sometimes..but it's like a hit or miss thing lol he tries though. I just prefer his grilling..now that he does well...but if you mean like cooking cooking..using the stove, pots and pans etc well then he could use some improvement lol. He literally over seasons everything..and it's things like spaghetti or pork chops lol I mean I try to help him out but he thinks he's Bobby Flay when he's in the kitchen and will start adding every spice to a simple sauce.. I'm talking garlic powder, salt, chili powder, Mrs.Dash, rosemary, cumin, paprika, Italian blends etc lol so I just let him do his thing because he seems to be having fun. I will try to enjoy it though but if it's just too far gone I let him know gently what I disliked about it. I also do let him know always that i appreciate the gesture but i just prefer to cook..plus he'll use 10 pans for one meal..smh nope😂
@dontspankme "quickly cleans it so I can't see"🤣 girl
@alicianoelle32 yes! A pan for the veggies, a pan for toasted panko crumbs, a pan for the protein, a pan for garlic and butter, a pot for water, a pot for the sauce...🤣 just an unnecessary mess lol
My husband is still working on seasoning things so they have more flavor when he’s just making a quick meal, but he can follow a recipe and have it turn out well. He surprised the hell out of me recently by making chorizo lasagna roll ups out of various leftovers and it was pretty good!
I’m gonna try writing down recipes for him to follow because I’d love a break. Are these recipes you find online or some you wrote down for him to follow?
@alicianoelle32, I don’t have anything written down for him. For basic dinners, he usually just wings it with seasonings. For anything he wants a recipe for, he will find it himself. He does better with ones that are fairly uncomplicated and not a lot going on on the website or having to scroll through. Honestly, he’d probably do really well with a cool book or if I wrote stuff down.
I let mine cook, we cook about the same amount. He cooks really good and is great at grilling. I’d say we both even in our cooking skills, he may be slightly better cause he’s older and has worked in a few restaurants.
oh yeah y’all are eating goooood. My sisters husband worked in a restaurant and he always has the best recipes.
@alicianoelle32, lol unfortunately they weren’t super fancy but yeah he can get down in the kitchen.. I won’t ever let him cook hamburger helper again though, I swear he put a whole bottle of salt in it🥴 it was horrible 😂
My husband doesn't usually cook but is excellent at it. His grilled cheese is much preferred over mine. His homemade Alfredo is divine.
My husband cooks. Not often because he works so much but when he does. He can cook some great food!! Unfortunately he is a salty person too. He loves salt so he has to remember to make it a little less bland rather than over salted lol
Haha mine as well. He’s pretty decent if I supervise how much salt hes using
Lol husband taught me how to cook and bake 🤷🏾♀️. Been the main cook for 6 out of 8 years now .
Same lol, I didn’t know how to make shit before him.
Luckyyyyy. If I didn’t cook we’d probably survive on processed foods only.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Our kids prefer my cooking. He just doesn’t cook with his heart and soul and you can taste it 😂😂😂
