I find it interesting that the internet is up in arms about troops being mandated to take the vaccine. But they don’t care about any of the other vaccines and “pills” they give to them. I guess it’s not important unless it’s your loved one. I love how people pick and choose. 🙄
Many of my husbands shipmates are anti vaccine, anti mask hard core trump is their daddy that Covid is fake people and they are not happy that Biden said that if the vaccine is not fda approved by September he will sign an order stating that the military has no right to refuse the vaccine, those that don’t want it now have a choice to get it or get a kicked out. I’m not anti vaccine but the whole no rights to deny is going to far.
@latinamomof3, whether or not your okay with it would depend on your stance on the vaccine which I’m not getting into. If they do not agree they should exercise the choices they have. It just won’t be in their favor. When people start to truly care about SM beyond the vaccine is when changes will be made.
it’s not about vaccines it’s about how the thought of service members being given unknown substances because they “never had a choice” seems to be ok, that’s not what they signed up for, they should not be forced to take anything because the government is not able to force it upon the civilians. Use the pedos and those incarcerated that won’t ever get out for that lol but they won’t because it’s unethical and against human rights but yet our service members are different.

It’s disgusting how many people are all upset talking about violating rights and whatever other BS they want to claim. We already have a mandated vaccine schedule, we just happen to have a new virus that requires a vaccine that will likely become part of the mandated schedule as well. It’s just a matter of time. People are so tied up in themselves

It seems insanely ridiculous that people think we can have our troops vulnerable to a virus that's sweeping the globe. How could we possibly defend ourselves if attacked if they're all spreading covid around the ship and barracks? I agree with you, OP, they're given all sorts of things for wild scenarios they're extremely unlikely to encounter, why in the world would they not be vaccinated against something they're incredibly likely to encounter?

Exactly! My husband travels a lot has been through this whole pandemic. 10 people that he flies with are quarantined in different parts of the world because of negligence. They just started the mask mandate on base again. I don’t understand why they stopped.
My husband works on base also and they just reinstated their mask mandate the 1st of August. He's been vaccinated but still wearing a mask at work because he's, SADLY, in the minority bein vaccinated...on an AIRFORCE BASE. 😳 Fucking TERRIFYING!
@leonardsquared, they did the same thing here. My husband refuses not to wear a mask even when they didn’t mandate it. So many people are calling the virus bullshit and said they’re going to be exempt for religious reasons. Good luck buddy 🤣
So My coworker does not get vaccinated for anything due to religious practices and she’s worried about our job making it mandatory since they discussed it earlier this week. It’s crazy how when vaccines even started or came about we were told it would be voluntary but now it’s mandatory and people need a verification card to go certain places. We even have certain states doing lottery drawings just to make people get it. people shouldn’t fear losing their jobs or having to go against their religious beliefs when we were told it was voluntary. I think this is wrong that companies are doing this.
Start rant... I always wondered about this part of a new vaccine and I am highly allergic to eggs, my son to pineapple. We both keep 6 epi pens and we could both end up in the hospital with a bad vaccine reaction. It’s why I’ve never taken a flu shot. I know it’s early in the game, but this screams at me because this is proof of what I’ve been saying about some of us will have to rely on herd immunity regardless of whatever vaccine comes out. In the meantime WEAR A MASK FOR THOSE OF US WHO MAY NOT BE ABLE TO EVEN BE VACCINATED, IT’S NOT ALWAYS ABOUT YOU! End rant...
My son just handed me this…. As an adult I made the decision not to get it and told him why I choose not to. Asked him if he knew anything about COVID or the vaccine and he said no all he knows it’s that it’s out there. At the end I asked him if he wants the vaccine I will sign the form if not we ignore it. He said no thank you 😊.
My husband has me thinking twice about vaccinations I don’t know how to feel about it now..😩 he feels like we should not vaccinate .. our next baby and to stop vaccinating our daughter, and told me a story about his friends kid not being the same after a certain vaccination 😭 I seriously don’t know how I feel about this .. any mamas ever felt upset , confused ?
What’s your take on vaccinations? Some people think they do more harm to the baby than good .. personally I don’t know , but I would love some insight.
