My daughter falls asleep to TV every night. I put a timer on it. She’s usually asleep within 30 minutes.

I allow my kids to watch about 30 mins of tv before bed since I don’t allow them tv any other time. we don’t sleep with anything but a fan on. No night lights or TVs.

My youngest son has a white noise machine.. I started using one when he was maybe 4 months old. My daughters both listened to lullaby melodies. My oldest I gave a tv when he was 2, I was clueless and he was spoiled I was a single mom. It was my worst mistake lol, it may work for some but it kept him up later which beat the purpose of me giving it to him. Then trying to take it away after was hell smh.

My son would stay up all night with a TV on. It’s too over stimulating even for me. He doesn’t have a TV in his room at all.

Depends on the age and kid. My kids sleep in silence now!

We’re a house full of people with sensory quirks - all sources of artificial light bothers me when it’s dark outside and certain noises bug me as well. My oldest needs his sleeping space to be very unchaotic - both visually and audibly. So we have a no tv in bedroom policy and all sleep with white noise/fans.

We have TVs in every bedroom. I mean there's a time to watch and a time not to. Its called moderation. During school time my oldest likes to have her diffuser going and play her cds for bed while my youngest decides between music or one movie to fall asleep to. The TVs have timers so it cuts off automatically but they usually dont even get to the end of their selection because they're asleep before then. I mean I have to have some sort of light on and noise going also. So it's either Kenny G radio playing or a long movie like Avatar lol. I love it. We all go to bed comfortably and wake up refreshed. Every household is different though and this is what works for us.

We turn on a kids sleep meditation for her to relax before she falls asleep, and we have a white noise machine.

What kids meditation do you use? I’ve been curious to see if meditation will help either of my kids wind down. My oldest has a stim he does before bed, and while it doesn’t hurt him, it makes travel hard. Trying to find some alternatives.

we listen to New Horizon Meditations on Youtube, they have a lot of sleep stories for kids. My daughter's favorite is Dolphin Dreams and it's about relaxing in a boat and you listen to ocean waves while she tells a story in her soothing English accent. I'll link it. There are other popular kid's channels for this on YouTube, but we've always had really good success with these. We love Squirrel Village too.

It soothes them right to sleep after a few weeks.

They have longer 4 in 1 collections of stories that go over an hour, or 8 hour playlists with soft music. They also do ones about aliens, space ships, animals...it only takes my daughter 15 minutes or so to conk out. :)

I do white noise for both of them. For my oldest, it’s barely audible. He doesn’t have a tv in his bedroom.

We did the white noise and than stopped to nothing . Personally I think tv to fall asleep in a bad habit and my girls don’t have a tv in their bed room

Tv OFF or my toddler would watch it all night lol. She likes it to be dark in her room anyways tho. I sometimes play calming scenic music in my room cause I like it lol but usually it's pitch black silent with the baby.

I turn everything off and make them go to bed in the dark lol 😂 that’s the only way they go to sleep

Transgender children So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are your thoughts on the matter? Do u think the parents are behind this? Idk because I haven't met the parents or children. I just think at 5 it's very young for children to really understand. What do u ladies think?
