For 1 visit to the ER! Thank god for insurance but that’s still a high bill for me! 🙄🤦🏼♀️ and this was just for them to tell me what’s wrong with me, no treatment or anything.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?

That is still absolutely insane. I was reading a thread about medical bills in other countries. An American in Japan needed an emergency root canal and with Xrays the cost was less than $100. What we pay is absolutely insane in this country.

Is there any kind of financial aid the hospital offers? Maybe look on their website, just for the heck of it and see what you can see 🤷♀️

Call the ladies in the billing office and ask about the charity programs or any sliding scale programs that you could fill out the paperwork and apply for. The hospital here when I had to have surgery had a couple offered, but you have to fill out the application within like 60 days of the treatment, or SOMETHIN like that, for it to be covered. DEF have a conversation with the billing ladies though!

Yeah I almost fainted when we got the $43,000 helicopter bill from my husband being lifelined. 😅 Medical bills are insane.

Yep. Same with when my oldest was life flighted. Like $47k or something. Thank god for insurance. That would have ruined us.

@two.tiny.texans.aka.mrs.puff at first our insurance tried fighting their portion of the bill because the helicopter company was out of network even though he was at an in network hospital. It was so scary thinking we were liable for the total amount. 😳

I know this pain. We spend between $12-15k out of pocket per year on deductibles right now. I’m so glad we at least qualify for tax credit because it’s over 10% of AGI. And we have a medi-cal waiver for my son and still come out of pocket that much. We stay on a payment plan...

Yikes that’s rough! If you are a lower income family you can ask for a write off or a discount. We actually didn’t pay for either of our hospital bills with my c-sections thanks to their financial aid. It helps a lot.
