Hey ladies. Does anyone know what can use ( such as shampoo / conditioner) that helps for both hair loss and dandruff???
My hair loss and thinning started around about 4 months postpartum and it still going plus I feel as if it’s getting worse with covid? It’s stressing me out of how much is thinning and embarrassed of how much dandruff I have ..
Keep taking your prenatal vitamin, add a biotin pill and take them every day. Teatree shampoo is awesome. They have teatree oil that you could add to your regulat shampoo also.
The hair loss is normal and will eventually stop on its own as long as you have a good well balanced diet. Keeping your nutrition levels up and continuing your prenatals will help. As for the dandruff, if Head and Shoulders or Pert Plus don't help, you can try using coconut oil lightly on the scalp. If this still doesn't work I'd see a dermatologist to make sure it's just dandruff and not something else as the root cause.
My ex husband used t/sal shampoo for his dandruff and as far as the hair loss I would start taking a prenatal vitamin again.
My OB/GYN told me that I need to stop the prenatal and take a postnatal. Also, make sure all of your hair products are free of DMDM Hydantoin. Pantene has a lawsuit right now because it causes hair loss. But many other hair products contain it.
