Y’all I need the best advice on how to wean a baby off the boob and onto a sippy ASAP! 😭😭 she is 10 months and I pump in the morning so I have plenty stocked in the freezer but she won’t stop biting my nipples and they are bleeding and i can’t get her to take a bottle or sippy and I want to cry 😭😭 well I was crying consider I have a tiny baby shark biting my nipples!! Any advice! She will still be getting breast milk
Don’t stress too much. I would probably be as stubborn as she is. Children won’t starve themselves. That’s how I weaned mine. I just cut it off and either he ate or didn’t. Eventually he did. (Don’t get me wrong I was still stressed and worried af lol)
That’s what I keep being told, just to stop and offer sippy to her and she will eventually take it! Lol I just feel bad more then anything and almost guilty for wanted to stop all together but I also don’t need bleeding nipples 🙄 so might be what I will end up doing and jsut have a stressful few days 😂
I dont have advice on weaning 🤣🤣 I think teething has a lot to do with it and when new teeth come in, they have to learn to work around them. When mine bite I say ouch so they know it hurts and sometimes they think im playing with them so I stop the feed, show them it hurts and I'll even place them on the floor. They realize they still want milk and ill pick them back up and say no bite before they get put back on. Good luck until you can get her to wean!
She isn’t teething though and just started biting recently and I’ve done all that 😭 she’s using the teeth she’s had since 4 months old and she’s now 10 months 🙄 don’t know why she decided to all of a sudden to bite me...I even stop feeding her and put her down cuz it hurts so bad
I’m going to sound like a shitty mom but this is what my pediatrician advised when I wanted to stop breastfeeding my son at 8 months.
He said that when I would nurse if my son bit me to pull the hair on the front of his hairline so like where the widows peak would be. I did it for 2 weeks everyone he bit me and it worked like a charm. His dr said that it didn’t hurt them but it would teach him that if he bit he would receive consequences. I was able to keep breastfeeding until he was 1 year 6 months and I never had issues after that.
