We use a cool mist humidifier and it works really well. I have the Crane brand and it really helps with my stuffy nose at night and was a God send when my daughter had RSV when she was 3 months old.

I use cool mist for my plants. It does not make the walls wet and it also helps a lot with tropical plants as well as dryness (like dry itchy skin) in the winter months. It is also great to breathe better for the humans. I love mine.

@albertrettazariah1386, I used to have the basic ones you plugged and top filled. It would make the walls wet. I used it for colds when dd was younger.
Now I have a cool mist, does the job for what I need and helps with air moister with out making you feel like its HOT and sticky. There are also control levels on it. I got mine at Target for $40.
